Personally, I think it is shocking how people are very quick to attack Newbies on this forum.

There seems to be a lack of 'be nice to all MSE'ers'

It is also not a surprise that many people new to the world of private parking tickets find the Newbie thread confusing - it is a very common comment and point of view raised.

    .
It's shocking the way you criticise this forum/personnel/advice etc without disclosing your vested interest so that newbies can realise you have an axe to grind here

    A. I don't have an 'axe' to grind here.

    B. I don't have a 'vested interest' - whatever your cryptic comment is meant to be.

    C. I have suffered the same and similar attacks by members of the forum repeatedly when providing advice and making posts in good faith.

Perhaps we should sue them.... Would that work, Logi?

Actually, no! For that to work they'd have to pay us...

Which would makes us bloodsuckers, just in it for cash.

I'd hate to be like that, wouldn't you, Logi?

Why would you sue people for not understanding the Newbie thread.?

You really are talking in riddles again Lamilad.

I think the posts just by you and Quentin just prove the OPs view

I can see a risk of this thread drifting slightly off topic. :D

While you are waiting for the POPLA code, you need to read through this forum using the search facility for other threads relating to others overstaying at service stations and how they got on. The initial appeal template won't win on its own and is just the opening gambit as in a game of chess.

The position is this. Every motorway service station has a time limit and if you want to stay longer, you pay about £10. Unlike the continent where they actually encourage tired drivers to rest, the UK penalises them. Scandalous.
You will need to dispute the signage or prove you were in an area where there was no signage or use any winning creative argument from previous posts.

I will tell you why sometimes the posts you get may appear sharp. The sheer volume of threads the forum gets every day and the groundhog day effect that hits regular contributors. And newbies not following or understanding the initial steps. Everyone thinks their case is in some way different whereas most fall into about to or three general categories.

I used to contribute regularly but don't have the patience to keep repeating the same advice 20 times a day as other regulars do. Coupon Mad has the patience of a saint usually and the advice of the Oracle at Delhi so pi$$ her off at your peril if you want further help.

Do the search I suggested to get ready for the next stage.
  • Hi MiiCK90

I've had a number of successes against various PPCs using the advice given in the newbie thread. CP Plus are at the top of my list of victories :rotfl:. I feel sure you too will be successful.

Enjoy your victory when it comes. :T:T:T
