Had it been included on his check he may never have gotten the job.. She says it is down to the boss man but it depends on the nature of the alleged crime. However she says it is perfectally ok to call your local station not 999 or owt:rotfl: And ask as it's for an essay and it's important you have the facts correct.
I know I've phoned my local to ask for clarification on bb guns as my neighbour had one ( he's 8) and threatened my DS with it ( such a nice child!!my neighbour) so.. That's my 2 peneth worth, Do with it as you will!
Good luck
Ooooo this is tricky-from a maternal point of view I agree with it, but I struggle that innocent people could potentially be discriminated against because of an alleged offence.0 -
Hi sorry that didn't answer your question specifically but (may get this wrong so bear with me).. once you have been arrested and charged the details are on the system (as you have an arrest summonds number) then you may be found (for example) not guilty or the case is discontinued by the cps all these are a disposal of the case so it would already be on the system and will therefore stay.. as (sorry couldn't get the quote to work) has been said already the police have taken your fingerprints and dna and photo0

Hehe.. thats funny but seriously I would! I always thought if it was dropped due to lack of evidence It wouldn't get to court ( I may be niaeve (SP)
If a crime is dropped for lack of evidence then it would stay on the system but listed as no further action. Unless ( my opinion here) you're proved guilty then it couldn't be put on any check as it would be classed as discrimination as you're not guilty!
Sorry I'm prob being no help am i??0 -

How about the Information Commissioner’s Office? If they don’t know, no-one’s going to know.

LOL no you are not but you are making me laugh cos you are as clueless as me!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
I think the problem arises as working with children requires an enhanced CRB check...........oh what am I talking about, I am more muddled now then when I started!
I will report back tomorrow!:T0 -
It might be better to start at the top, rather than the bottom.
