Had the same I thought I wasn!!!8217;t going to be able to log back in at all.

I expect MSE has been hacked else why now force a password change?

mine was 4206 days since last changed.... yes i can see why 11.5 years might be a good amount of time to change!!

Oh I had a problem changing mine, took forever thought I was going to be locked out, and you have to be logged in to get help.
Managed eventually though

Regularly being forced to change passwords is a much bigger security risk. Try and work out why.
