  • I've been thinking they might have been hacked and the hackers are asking for passwords...or God know what drama!!!

I just said the same on the other thread :)

My wife had the same (using FF I use Chrome), worrying thing for her was the padlock in the address bar where they wanted her to change her password had a red line through it, so wondering has MSE been hacked?

I've never changed my password on here and I'm sure I've been a member for at least 10 years, so this is definitely a new thing :)

** Update - yup, now that I've posted I can see that I joined in Sept 2006 and I've definitely had the same password all that time

Phew! I'm relieved it's all OK and legit. It's all well and good MSE having a good reason to do this, but it made me stop and consider. I mean, if the site had been hacked, who knows what nasties might've happened by entering our passwords. I wish MSE would warn us first. It would've been a lot less scary that way.
