I have a new and terrible obsession with my mortgage being a round figure - it isn't great but I am going with it, goodness knows why these odd things float into my brain. I have eleven items on EBay including sone good machines hopefully they will all go for a bit more than 99p!0

They are both very worthy obsessions! My own brand of madness is number of months from financial independence. I'm surprised my spreadsheet hasn't combusted from overuse:rotfl:
Good luck with your eBay sales xxOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.

I have had different mfw obsessions in the past, I've done the 'nice round number' and the 'get it onto the next bracket' approach. But it all comes down to 'pay the blummin thing off as quick as poss'
I do find changing my approach helps keeps things fresh and keeps pace up. I do bore easily if things don't move quick
Enough.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

I did all that, but my main aim was to knock a day off the mortgage (because I was using a mix of ordinary mortgage payments, OP's on wages day and various BTL's it was possible to drop a few days rather than needing a massive amount to drop a month. Sigh - fun spread-sheeting days :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Well at least I am not alone in these MFW obsessions which is heartening. Combined EBay currently at £64.99 hopefully they will go up a bit over the week-end. I have squirrelled £742 into savings so might get close to an extra £1k off this month.0
