  • The Van cost £3k and is 17yrs old, when i checked it over at time of purchase there was no visible sign of damp, no musty smells or mould, everything appeared to be dry, But it wasn't raining when i viewed it, but it did rain a few days later and while cleaning it , is when i found the wet section through the vinyl in the shower room.
    I did not however get a independent inspection, which in hindsight i wish i had.

    So you didn't actually ask the vendor if it was watertight?
    Is it reasonable to expect a caravan of that age to be 100% free of leaks?
    The vendor must truthfully answer any questions you ask, but they don't have to volunteer any info at all of their own free will.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
