Land Banking - I've been niave!

Unfortunately, i have parted with monies and 'invested' in some land. Is there any way you can recoup your money and if so what would the process be? Many Thanks

PS New user...be nice. I know i have failed!

When you say "invested", what did you do: buy some actual land at auction, or what?

Just googled for land banking and got this link, if it's of any help:
    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Library/Communication/Statements/2007/land_banking.shtml

    Sounds dodgy to me!

Through a company called Countryside Land Holdings. Potentially it may be legit but i've bottled it and just want as much money as i can back. Any advice/experience would be appreciated.

Doh!!! I'm sure i've had some unsollicited mail about this before and just binned it....

It may well be legit, but I have my doubts.... you must have paper work, a contract maybe, have a look at it and see what it says!

I have seen a few of these links before and overall it seems i have made a bit of a boo-boo. However, it is done now and instead of forgetting about it and moving on i need to try and recoup some monies. Any suggestions about what to do or where to go for advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

!!!!!! read the paperwork you got from them!!!

That should be your first step. Post back and let us know what it says in the contract, but don't expect people on here to do everything for you!

That earlier FSA link I posted had some suggestions as to where to start, but I'd have thought you'd have checked any get out clause with your investment before parting with your cash?

My goodness there are some angry people here! I will check the contract and FSA link and post details shortly. Ultimately, i was looking for someone who has had experience of this before and the steps they took...not somebody ranting at me!

You've had some opinions and links as to where to look, and one person (quite reasonably, IMO!) verbalising that you could do a bit of work in terms of checking your contract. I'm not sure what more you can expect for free on a public forum?

A fair point ..... but I think there was an expectation being expressed that perhaps some self-help wouldn't go amiss. After all your first post was as devoid of detail as the land this company deal in - is devoid of houses (sorry:o ). You didn't give the company name let alone the fairly obvious bit, from below, as to what the contract says?
