Regarding PIP/DLA

How many hours are you allowed to work while in receipt of PIP/DLA?

  • You can work as much as you want - it's not means tested. However, it's obvious that your job should not contradict you claim.

Okay because my mother claims that she is going to get in to trouble because work have given me more than eight hours a week.

Sadly, I think my mum has been misinformed and been misunderstood because it doesn’t matter whether you’re full time or part time. Or however many hours you do. For all they know you could be a multi millionaire and still be claiming PIP.

You can be, Look at David Cameron and family member who gets it! Hence why it's not means tested. But not to say you have a bad back and can barely walk, But go on fishing trips every weekend lol... So it's not a benefit because it's not means tested you can do what you like!

Why does your mum think she'd get in trouble if you work? Who's claim is it?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Yes you can work and recieve PIP as long as what ever you do doesn't contradict the reasons why you're claiming PIP.

Why does your mum think she would be the one getting in trouble?

The only reason I'm asking is that there have been a couple of posters recently who have been financially abused by their mothers who are in charge of their DLA or PIP. Your post has rung alarm bells that you might be in the same position.

It shouldn't be anything to do with your mum what benefits you claim or how much you work (unless you're a child).
