That's a fantastic weight loss, I'm sure you will reach your next goal. It could be the weight loss or a combination of things which are helping with your leg, but whatever it is, it can only be a good thing!
How's everything going in the garden? Many things growing / spouting as expected? I can't wait til you start eating home grown and find out which worked, which were good etc.

Lurker here but just wondered if you'd consider Starling Bank for a separate account. They have business ones which are free and all done through an app.

Thanks MF - the seedlings are doing well - I still need to find a way to weigh down the insect mesh.
Hello and welcome Scottishlass - thanks for posting. Yes I will consider them too. Not done anything with that yet. The earliest I would get income from my book would be 3 months after posting.
Well my DD dyed my hair yesterday and did a stunning job. I'm so chuffed. I hadn't realised how much it had been getting me down until she did it. I stayed up to stupid o'clock last night wrapping presents for DD's birthday which is tomorrow. I now need to make myself do work - I wasn't very productive yesterday at all.

Hi CMD - I think the weight loss has already relieved some of my pain and helped me move more freely which is good. I am not out of breath so easily now either which is a relief.
I've had a good day - worked slightly longer hours today. Struggling with work productivity this week though. I'm calling into work tomorrow wearing gloves and a mask so that could be interesting! My DD did a stunning job on dyeing my hair so at least I don't have to worry about that.
My seedlings are all still alive. The beans that I planted out have been nibbled a bit but are still going for it. Had to replant a few broccoli and cauliflower plants that had come loose but mostly okay. I have insect mesh held down with stones and heavy logs. I 5opped up the potatoes with soil again - they seem to be storming away now. I've got some lettuce inside that is doing well. Considering planting it among the brassicas as I plan to just pick outer leaves as they grow rather than letting them heart up which should keep them compact. I gave up slightly on my outdoor carrots and now have some indoor carrots growing so need to work out what to do with them as I've kind of run out of space. My marigolds are well away as is the beetroot. So debating when and where to plant that. I have one cucumber plant doing amazingly well (inside) in one of the 50cm pots I decoupaged. Another I replanted into an internal 'trough' last weekend but it is still looking sickly. My strawberry plants are flowering as is at least one of my two sets of tomato plants.
So I have at least 4 pots available to plant - but need more compost still. We have collapsed a chair we bought last year that has never quite worked as intended which has given us some space back on the remaining grass. Once we've finished clearing that area of all the things that don't belong on it - the debate is do I convert some more of the lawn to be a veg patch or should we move the outdoor 'sofa' there instead to look out on the garden.... Decisions, decisions. One of our neighbours has dug up his whole front lawn - I don't want to go that far. I could plant some veg in the 'flower' pots at the front though and could replace some of the existing plants in a small border area we have...
Anyway time for bed. The kid's made a cake for DD's birthday and I decorated it. I've also spent a chunk of time finding and wrapping presents. Hope she's happy in the morning.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That is a huge decision regarding the lawn, I guess you need to weigh up the pros and cons. Do you use the lawn or do you have a patio / decked area where you can look out over your garden? Or is it only the lawn area that does? Between all of you, could you maintain the growing / tending when things are the new normal if you converted it?
I'm pleased to hear you've had your hair coloured, small injection of pampering was overdue.
Hope DD has a lovely day today and there's plenty of laughter and smiles.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks Ohsh.... and MF. About to have a lovely roast dinner, followed by choc fudge cake and ice cream and then a fire pit in the garden with toasted marshmallows. DH is stringing up some new lights to make it extra special for DD and my upcoming birthdayAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Perhaps go to a carvery some time when they open again. I love them as they are so easy to do - they take time rather than effort. I also sometimes freeze leftover portions or take them to work for lunches. You could also have roast meat in a salad or sandwich.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
