Thanks for popping in Echo B.
Well DD and I went for a walk of 0.8 miles yesterday with pooch. That was her first time outside the house in weeks so I was relieved! I took 1 tablet less yesterday. Feel like my leg is making progress. The pension people came back to me with details of how I pay to get an updated transfer value - so will do that next. Will also look at my email about how to book an initial conversation with the DB transfer people and get an appointment booked in. Excited and nervous about that. I woke up thinking about writing so will give that a go before the kids get up and see how far I get. Feeling happy today despite having a bad diet couple of days and the scales letting me know they noticed! Have a good day all.

Sounds like you had a lovely walk yesterday, glad the leg is feeling a bit better. How did the hair dye go?
Great news on the mortgage overpayment.

Hello, have just finished the read through of your diary. You have been on such a rollercoaster but your focus is amazing (except on getting the books published). I really don’t know how you juggle it all especially dealing with a dodgey leg. Hope you don’t mind me inviting myself along for the ride.
i see your husband is doing the 800 calorie a day plan. I did it for 8 weeks last year to help with my own type 2. While my bs is back up, it’s back up to where it was when I was taking 3 additional tablets a day. I lost 21 lbs doing it and 14 of those have never reappeared. If he can stick with it, the benefits are amazing. Just make sure you know a good clothing alteration place. This is marketed as dr Michael moseley’s blood sugar diet and gets really good feedback. That said, I celebrated the end of the 8 weeks with a galaxy ripple.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Lovely to come back to 6 posts! Hello DIA, MF, INOD, Mark, HM and Jwil
Well I spent yesterday and into today adding about 1000 words to my book and doing a final proofread. I have designed a cover I like - but am checking whether I definitely have the right to use the image I've selected before uploading / printing it anywhere. If I do - I will probably pay someone a little to help with formatting but then should be about ready to go. If I don't I will ask someone to mock me up something similar. So yes INOD this book has been a lot of years coming but hopefully is about to go. I feel I will have squandered lockdown if I don't get it out now while there is more of a 'captive' audience. I can then carry on with Book 2 with the first book fresher in my mind.
My marigold seedlings have sprouted. Ideally I will get out in the garden for a bit - but don't want to disrupt the flow while it lasts. It would also require me to get out of PJs LOL. I still need to do the pension stuff and sort out pet insurance. DS is still to clean the house but he did sort the kitchen for me so we just ate a very tasty roast chicken dinner. DD hasn't dyed my hair yet - I'll let you know when she has!! DH is a bit down today don't know why. He thinks lockdown is getting to him a bit.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I did another 2-3 hours in the garden. I pulled down a load more ivy as it was making my planned fruit and veg corner darker. There are some supports it grows up around there and it had started taking over a second apple tree so I pulled that off. I did find a strawberry plant so may well move that. I laid down cardboard over half the patch of grass in the corner where I am trying to start my veg patch. I used the 4 hessian planters I bought to form a raised bed wall. I now have about 24 potato plants growing - half in the bags, half next to them. I've made a furrow and will keep adding soil every time the potato plant head appears until it reaches the height I am aiming for - apparently that encourages it to produce more spuds. I also emptied an old wooden planter and put 6 bean seedlings in it and gave them some harvested bamboo stakes to grow up. Will do more later but really pleased. Feel I had a very productive weekend.
I also need to think about what grows best with what. Need to plan where I want some narrow paths so I can get around to weed and check on them. That's what I bought the bark for a few weeks ago. When I get paid I may buy more compost and bark and possibly more planters - will see how it goes. I may wait and see what happens for my birthday. My mum said she'd send money but I also gave her links to a nursery in case she wants to go that route.
Another £82 paid off a CC today. I weighed less today but will only update my signature with that on Thursday - let's see if I can keep it off and increase the weightloss by then. I need to log on for work soon. I want another brew first. Hope you have a good day all. Stay safe, stay well.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
