So paid off £75 today off a CC today.
I've succumbed to buying some hair dye - not a bad price on Am****. DD is going to apply it for me and have a go at cutting the hair at the nape of my neck. I will probably cut some of my fringe as it is starting to annoy me now. I've just realised I've not taken my tablets yet today - but think that is a really positive sign. Starting to need them now though. I missed milk off the order (Doh!) so will ask DS to get some when he goes to Mr A's chemist for me later. I ate naughtily yesterday so need to get back on track today. I've had a so-so start as I had strawberries, raspberries, squirty cream and flapjacks!!!! for breakfast. Very tasty. My phone case has arrived so hoping that it will help me not drop it. Still cold out but it's bright so planning to get out in the garden and do a bit more.

Just did my renewal for my insurance, I went via a cashback site - but not sure they will pay out though as I went with my current provider. However I still saved £79 compared to their renewal quote. TBF I agreed a higher excess but we've not claimed for years so hopefully it will be fine anyway. If I get the cashback it's worth another £30. I still need to sort the pet insurance but I've had enough for now so will leave that until later or another day.
Had a very relaxing day so far. Took DS to get milk but gave up on medication for today as there was a queue. Will try another day. Not run out yet - and besides it will give longer for the doctor to send over the second prescription I ordered. I did 1 lot of washing - loads more to go. I also unpacked and packed the dishwasher. Hoping to do do a bit in the garden as it has stopped raining after an earlier downpour. DS has promised to cook spaghetti and meatballs for tea and he's an amazing cook so looking forward to that. He's also promised to clean the house for us tomorrow. It definitely is overdue!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I decided to follow AFK's advice and round down my mortgage a little - so paid £3.28 off our mortgage. Every little helps and all that. Given we've not heard back from the Uni accommodation people or got a revised delivery date for our new chairs (they were originally due a week ago) - decided to pay a bit more off our target CC so sent another £390 to it. Now down to £1K to pay on that which I plan to do just after payday. Then we will have just 3 cards left to pay. Have a good weekend all. Hope the weather is good where you are.

Don't talk about hair dye, I'm jealous you can get the one you want.
Think you've done the right thing with your mortgage, a bit extra cash to save or pay off other things is best for a few months.
Hopefully you will hear soon about the accomodation costs and your chairs, then it's two less things to cross of your list.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I had a panic tonight in case DH's company made him go into work when lockdown starts easing off - me and DH are both in the moderate rather than extremely vulnerable category. I redid all my spreadsheets working out what would happen if we had to manage on one wage. We definitely could but it would take us about 5 times as long to clear debt. It gave me a new appreciation of the struggles people go through with high debt and low income. I apologise if I'm ever insensitive to that. I guess we are all used to the income we have.... I definitely want to build up our EF. I may get DH to set up an account for it so it is less likely to be touched than if I can see it tantalising me.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Awesome progress on all fronts!I think all this uncertainty really makes us appreciate the importance of an EF.
Love your motivation though 😁5
