Meanwhile the true propagators of this insidious industry, namely the large landowners such as Morrisons, ASDA, ALDI, Lidl, Sainsburys, British Land, Savills etc etc all sit back and duck responsibility, not to mention the DVLA with the Electronic Data link tap left wide openFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I agree with TD. These are some of the comments made by the MPs concerning the unregulated parking industry.
Cowboy companies, signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued, rogue parking companies, bloodsuckers, absolute disgrace, rogue operators, unfair charges and notices, wilfully misleading, signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead, unreasonable, designed to trap innocent drivers, a curse, harassing, operating in a disgusting way, appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing, loathed, outrageous scam, dodgy practice, outrageous abuse, unscrupulous practices.
I think these words should be included in every appeal to PPCs, PoPLA, complaints to landowners/retail managers, the BPA, IPC, MPs, PALS, DVLA, etcetera.
Where an MP has made a specific comment about a specific PPC, I think those very words should be quoted in the appeals/complaints to the PPC, PoPLA, landowner etcetera.I married my cousin. I am going to suggest to CM that she includes this link in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi there, been issued with a PCN when I went for the gym here in Scotland. The parking is within the grounds of several offices and the gym as well. I'm always careful to park after offices are closed and on Friday they always close early, before 16h. I arrived at 16.49h and got a fine from Smart Parking. What should I do? Already read about it and complained to Pure Gym. Should I email the MP as well? What's the law about it in the moment for Scotland? Thanks0

What you must do is start your own thread for help0 -

Why are you posting on a thread that's over 18 months old.
In Scotland it's simple - don't contact the PPC, then ignore anything further unless things change dramatically and the PPC starts issuing court proceedings, vanishingly unlikely. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The sticky is too complicated, it shoul dbe step 1-5. End.
IF they are illegitimate, they will have a finite process for each case0 -
Why have you posted that comment on an unrelated thread, 3 months after this thread had "died"? (Yes, the STICKY is mentioned, but that's not what this thread is about).0
