BA Executive Points Expired

Over many many years I have been collecting via Tesco Clubcard points/money and other ways BA Executive. I wanted to save enough for a special business class trip with my wife for a special birthday or anniversary. I collected over 200k which would be enough.
I logged into my account today to find my balance as 0 and my points had expired. !!!!!!
I think this is an absolute disgrace tbh and not sure why they should expire.
Is there a way to get these back?
Thanks.

You have to earn or spend 1 avios in 3 years to keep your points alive. If you've been collecting clubcard points and transferring them over, they should be alive. Even if you waited until the clubcard vouchers were about to expire after 2 year, you would still be within the time frame.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. 99% of my points were from Tesco Clubcard points and EON. I had 'Combine My Avios' right up until Oct 2016.
I think it is disgraceful tbh0 -
what was the date of the last transaction on your statement?

Ouch - that's a harsh story. They won't credit them back unfortunately, stating their T&Cs and the fact that even a single transaction within 3 years would have kept them alive. No harm in asking, but don't expect anything.
Technically they were never yours which is why they can do this.

Are you sure it's not just a bug if you had activity in 2016 ?

They are pretty good about emailing you warning that points are about to expire, so it should have been possible to avoid this tragedy. If they failed to warn you then you might have some grounds for appeal, but you don't have any rights so be sure to ask politely rather than demand.0

Not sure if that was from Eon or Clubcard transfers.0 -

Can't see any emails warning me that they will expire.0 -
do you have both an Avios.com account and a BA Exec account?
"combine my avios" is generally used for moving points between programs (Avios, BA exec and Iberia) I cannot see reference to EON with BA Exec Club but can see it with Avios.com...
Are you sure the Tesco moves were to BA Exec Club and not Avios.com?
if your points went into an Avios account and then were transferred to BA Exec, this does not count as 'activity' to keep the points live0 -

You didn't buy them as such - they remained property of BA or Avios at all times.fleetingmind wrote: »17-Oct-16 Combine My Avios - 0 - 1,663

That looks like an account transfer which doesn't count as activity on your account.
I do think they've really gone, pity the cut off was only a month ago - had you looked in early Dec you could have saved them. Harsh lesson learned - but do give BA a try as it's basically only a month out.Legal team on standby0
