Thank you! I have now claimed online. First time I've ever been able to claim anything as I've never paid PPI etc.0

My wife and I have just lodged claims for partial refunds for our 4 LPAs (1 each financial and 1 each health), which each cost £110 in January 2017. One claim for each person is all that is needed and it takes 5 minutes. It is really easy.
Just bear in mind that all that is being partially refunded is the LPA registration fee. If you used a solicitor or the "reduced rate" Which service offered by MSE, there is no partial refund on this cost.
It is easier and cheaper to go to the end provider and cut out any middle website charging for the service, however much they have reduced their fees.0 -
Many thanks for bringing this to our attention! My husband and I have entered our claims this morning and now await our refunds totalling nearly £150, for two LPAs each. They say it will be May before we can expect the money, but I reckon that's fair enough if they've really got a million potential cases to get through.
(I tried to make this comment on the page about this on the main site, but found that it demanded the loathsome Facebook! So I hunted in the Forums and found this thread.)0 -
I paid £440 for four LPEs ( 2 each for me and my wife) two years ago. Our solicitor suggested we do it ourselves, which takes quite a bit of paperwork and time, but it would have cost us £1400 to let solicitor do them.
Claiming was simple yesterday and I should be getting back 4 x £38 which is £152 when it comes in early May.0 -
One has to ask why the refunds cant be automatically processed. Why does one have to claim when the application date and donors details are all held on computer.0
-
I've just received notification to expect my refund within 10 working days! That is a lot quicker than I expected.0

£55.24 confirmed today. Thanks MSE!!
Precessed in about 3 wks only.Ethical moneysaver0
