  • Grazia Robertson, a criminal solicitor in Glasgow, told BBC Scotland it could be difficult to secure prosecutions.
"How would you gather sufficient evidence to successfully prosecute in a criminal court?" she said
"I think there will be problems."

Too right there will be problems as it the most appalling piece of legislation pushed by people who are off their rockers, and passed by incompetent and spineless politicians.

  • One of the unique things about this bill is that it privileges the experiences of women and children.

    Hold on a minute?

I though feminism was about equality?

Now it is about women have privileges men don't?

Oh I see, so not so much about equality as female supremacy.

It is just legalised man hating.

    A hate law.

And 140,000 police officers will be trained on this nonsensical garbage.

    What a waste of money!!

It is off the scale in the sheer stupidity of it.

There will not be any prosecutions, it is unenforceable.

It is hard to put into words how bad the leglislation is.

And of course the vote was 100% in favour as nobody want to see as supporting "domestic abuse", you could have put anything in than insane bill (and indeed they did) and it would of been passed.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Frightening. :eek::eek::eek:

  • Holyrood’s justice secretary, Michael Matheson, also announced £165,000 of dedicated training funding for Scottish Women’s Aid.

What about the men Micheal, where is the "EQUALITY"???? :rotfl:

All men are equal but all women are more equal than men.

It is the lunacy Orwell warned off.

You are arguing with a well known DT frequent flyer who is anti womens autonomy & a misogynist amongst his many faults.

Yes they did. He pleaded guilty and got 3 months with his wife visiting him in prison. I can't put myself in her shoes but I realise how hard it is to leave someone when there are numerous ties between a couple from family, to emotions, shared history, finances, children, peer pressure, lack of alternative accommodation, fear of loneliness and so on.

I know my example is about a man controlling a woman but there are plenty of examples of women doing the same to men, as well as in same sex partnerships. There are also examples related to honour based violence and forced marriage, so it is a wide spread but misunderstood problem.

Maybe he learned his lesson but I can't help feeling he would have been a bit annoyed after 3 months inside and he doesn't sound like the nicest of people to start off with.
