In post #3 you said your SSP had finished, yet in this one you state you don't want to wait until it' finished. People can't help you with the correct info if you don't answer the questions correctly. Also just to add that I want to leave work, not wait until SSP is finished (should be a matter of days still awaiting confirmation letter but i might have to ask again for that)
If i hand in my notice i have to work a further 4 weeks0 -

Sorry MS brain here,
Currently off sick (yet again)
I have most likely a few days (or it could have ran out whilst I have been off sick) My employers are very laid back when it comes to being helpful.
Staying in work will cause me to get worse with the stress etc, they have cause so much damage to me.
I shall ask them again when i go back Monday.0 -
Once you've done this, you will also need to check your National Insurance records by using the link i gave you in one of the above posts.Sorry MS brain here,

I've applied for HRMC to send the information to me.
Whilst looking at a wageslip to get information HMRC wanted, i notice i only paid £1 - £2 per month in NI, I doubt I will be able to get anything?
I already receive DLA0 -
Just in case you are not eligible for contribution based ESA have you checked whether you are entitled to any other benefits with just your OH working?
Use a benefits calculator - https://www.turn2us.org.uk0 -

Next question, how much is NI credits for each year needed.
I have 30 years of full contributions (the last 2 says full year) (the important years for esa)
you have contributions from
paid employment £....
I get DLA and have done for about 9 years, do i get NI credits for having that?
Does this mean i can get cont esa for 1 year?0 -
If the last 2 years say full then this is what''s needed. You don't get NI contributions from DLA/PIP.Next question, how much is NI credits for each year needed.

What are you being paid at the moment? How much?
Contribution based ESA is £73.10 a week so you are better off by staying on SSP until it runs out.
You need to contact your employer and find out exactly when your SSP runs out. In any case if it doesn't continue for the 28 weeks because you have 'used up' your SSP quota previously then your employer must send a SSP1 form to you. This will be needed to claim ESA plus a fit note from your doctor until you are assessed and put into a group.
Is your doctor supportive?
I would not be ending employment whilst you are off sick. You can sort out work when/if you need to. Concentrate on getting your SSP and ESA sorted out.
If you say you cannot manage on your OH's salary then you may need some budgeting advice. Have you tried posting on the DebtFree Wannabe forum? (Not just for those in debt) Helpful people over there. Also lots of articles to read on this site about reducing expenditure.0 -

Have asked for the SSP1
it's about to run out any time.
We can't managed on OH salary, most of it is mortgage,
We live quite frugal, lowest of low on mobile, internet etc.
Have rang NI dept at HMRC, i do have enough contributions to go onto esa cont, it's not taken lightly,
Seriously with the bullying i have had to endure, i even had a ms/psychological tests because of the treatment at work, i really thought i was going mad/ thick / worthless etc, this has reduced somewhat now the bully has left, but it went on so long that others think that it is ok to treat me like it, I've spoken to various people in work, nothing changes.
I just need time out to breathe, have my own business, be my own boss. but just time to breathe for a mo0
