Good morning all
Thank you for starting us off Hollyharvey
Jackie O I hope it goes as well as it can today, my thoughts will be with you and especially Margaret.
TravellingAbuela pleased you have made your decision to stay. I've been trying to decide for the last couple of years, head or heart, one says stay one says move.
Can't believe it's February already, but I do love the lighter evenings. We have snowdrops and crocus in the garden so hopefully the warmer days aren't too far away.
Take care allIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Morning, Dry and bright here, but cold and windy. It stayed fine all day yesterday, and i actually got some washing almost dry!!
Jackie O, hope the funeral goes as well as it can.
Karcher, sorry to hear someone was horrible to you. I dwell on these things as well, usually in the middle of the night. Some people are really mean and spiteful.
Dumpling, please don't call yourself a bad friend - you have had so much to deal with lately it's no wonder things get forgotten.
We didn't go out for lunch yesterday as Dd had to wait for a parcel delivery, so we went to her house instead and had mince pie, mash and peas, very nice too. We spent the afternoon there, then dropped her off at school to pick up Dgd.
Today we'll pick up dgd and she is staying over. We'll take her to school tomorrow. Not much else going on today - just what I call "stuff".
Hope you all have a good day folks. Hugs to the poorlies, sad and worried.0 -

Morning everyone,
My thoughts will be with JackieO , Margaret and their family, hope it all goes as well as possible.
Karcher another one here who dwells on any confrontations, outwardly I always seem quite calm but early hours will see me awake, going over it all. Hugs to you.
Bbbrr cold here today but at least it's clear and we will see some sunshine, hello to February.
Off to Sainsbobs soon as have a £4.50 voucher off a shop of £30 plus have decided to spend my nectar points so should be a cheap visit.
We are out for a meal tonight so nothing done in my meal plan, we are meeting a friend who we haven't seen since last July so lots to catch up on, it's a pub meal as our friend doesn't like fussy food but that suits us as well.
Good to hear that a decision has been made re the house TA there is a lot to be said for staying put, hope your OH had a better day yesterday Judi
Have a good day folks x0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread Holly, hugs to all those in need.
It's very cold here, we had to scrape the car before we could set off.
I was awake reading most of the night so feel like a wet rag this morning
I need to do a shop today as CHS is home tomorrow I'm just waiting for the tenants rent to hit the bank account.
We are taking the boat out for the weekend now we finally have a new engine. It's been a stressful week as there have been lots of problems and extra expense getting the new engine fitted.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all,Judi I do hope that your oh is coping. It must have been a terrible thing to witness and it does unsurprisingly sound like he is very shaken up.
Unfortunately its not what he is saying, its what he is not saying but at least he is eating. Its been a long week for him thats for sure. The man who died has been named by the police as a 36 year old from the area. He was on his way back from a works party. At almost 5am it must have been an all nighter. It was still dark ... pretty sad really. Grump is coming back home tomorrow night a different route.
Rubbish nights sleep for me. Tossing and turning.. Dont think i'll get through the day without a Nanna nap. We will see. Bin day today... i love my bin men! Youngest sorted out his wardrobe last night. He'd got 8 coats all similar and he wondered why his clothes came out of his wardrobe creased to heck.
Not heard from the kids, best i dont contact them for my own sanity really.....they are adults now and ive got enough to stress about as it is. I think some whale music is in order today....Either that or a bit of Sam Smith (again).
Onwards and forwards,

Good morning,
Still a bit blurry eyed from a long day yesterday.
I drove down to Manchester to enjoy (free) hospitality for the Man City vs West Brom game. Meant I didn't get home until 1.30am. Can't really complain through as it was a freebie, although the full tank of diesel wasn't.
Tonight is date night with my lovely gran. She said that she didn't have any haggis on Burns Night and so we're having a delayed Burns Supper, without the dram as I'll be driving.
Should be home for 9ish, and probably in my bed shortly after and ready for my alarm at 5.30am for the gym.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, and an even better February!0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Thoughts with Jackie O, Margaret and family today, its a sunny day here so hope its the same in Kent, I always think a sunny day helps a wee bit on these sad occasions.
OH continues to make progress, we were out for a walk in the morning and he went with me in the car to the next village yesterday afternoon. He asked me to get a mars bar, could not believe it was 80p!! Dr rang this morning, re the new medication, she has suggested not to give it to him unless his headache is really bad, and see how he goes with it. So thats fine, I was not anxious to give it to him anyway, one of the side effects is dizziness!! We can do without that.
This is the morning when the cash goes zipppppppppppp out of the bank, so I need to update my budget, no council tax though.....so almost £100 better off this and next month.
As its a nice morning so I have a throw in the washer, I will put it on the line for a while, its cotton so its on a 30o wash, expect it to shrink a bit.
No idea what OH wants for supper, he cleared his plate last night......0 -
Good Morning chums ,just popped in to say thank you for all your good wishes for today. We will all be rallying around our lovely margaret this afternoon and we will make sure he gets a good send off My granddaughter Holly is reading her memories of her Grandpa and is a little nervous ,but I'm sure she will do her Granddad proud.
The weather has dried up from yesterday although it still is a chilly wind.
Right I must get a move on as there is lots to do I am taking my youngest DD and my son-in-law with me in my car and the boys Jack,Henry and Mikey will be looking after themselves this afternoon But Henry is home from school just after lunch, and they are all quite capable of making themselves something to eat. DGS Jack is 18 this month, where has that time flown to.
Right must go ,and thanks once again for all your kind wishes

JackieO thinking of you today. Margaret is so lucky to have you in her life. I hope all goes well and the weather is kind.
Prodigal has just left. Ive fed him up and sent him on his way. Apparently the job centre have sent him to make an appointment at the doctors, they recon he isnt fit to work. Well i could have told them that years ago so Prodigal then announces he is registering with another doctor as the one he saw a few months ago was rubbish. How come when someone tries to help him he puts obstacles in the way? I told him that if he registers with another doctor it will take awhile for the registration to go through and paperwork sent... apart from that, he's only seen the doctor he is registered with once so how does he know its rubbish? He's lost his bank card (again). He only manages to keep them a few days before he loses them again.
Speky, your Nan is so lucky to have you.
