£10.85 to add in from yesterday.
£5 my survey £5.17 crowdology & 68p citizenme.
I have also had my ppi claim payed straight into my bank account but haven't yet had a letter confirming it so waiting on that to come through. But I'm completely amazed by what they have paid out. Can I add this to my total?
well done, yes you can:T0 -
Evening all. So our household is still struck down with colds. I've had a cold, aches pains etc for 3 weeks now. My better half has had an awful cold for over a week, and both the kiddies have had their share too. The 4yr old had a burst ear drum yesterday, and as a result missed yet another swimming lesson this morning - poor thing has missed more than she's been to due to ear infections. And another weekend spent snuggled on the sofa, or in beds hoping it would all just disappear.
Not all bad news though, a day in bed with a laptop means plenty of money making, some of which paid for a takeaway this evening...a bit of comfort food to lift spirits!

Mike, sorry to hear you're all still suffering from colds:(. here's a nice hot something to soothe your throat:coffee:. Your daughter's burst eardrum sounds really painful. It's awful seeing little ones in pain or discomfort isn't it? Get Well Soon, all of you.
At least there were a couple of silver linings though, the matched betting results (well done:T:j) and the takeaway. I hope you all enjoyed every mouthful:beer:
I haven't taken you up on your very kind offer of IT help (probably just as well seeing as you are ill at the moment) because I finally got the massive Win 10 update to install thanks to using a USB stick which I rediscovered among some 'clutter' I was sorting through. I'd completely forgotten I had that:o. The download and installation took hours, literally, but its all done now and the laptop seems to be working a lot quicker and smoother thanks to several new features:j. I still have a storage issue (it's a very low-end laptop:o) but I plan to upgrade to something better anyway as soon as I can;)
You asked us last month what we use our £10 a Day money for and I was a bit too preoccupied then to add my comments:o. Mine is all going into my debt repayment fund:j. People have often asked me why I save when I have debts to pay off. The answer is that being on a DMP interest has been frozen on all my debts for the last 5 years so I'm just paying of the balance. It doesn't matter how long I take to pay them off (apart from my desire to be rid of them forever) as no interest is being added and they are going down instead of up. I'm repaying at the agreed rate but saving every last penny from this challenge to make Full and Final settlement offers as soon as I have enough. Creditors are often wiling to accept a reduced final payment to get the debt cleared once and for all when it's been ongoing for so long:j. I started with just under £57000 unsecured debt in 2013:eek::o and my burning ambition is to be debt free by the end of this year. Unless RL scuppers me even further I reckon I can do it:j0 -

CBC Wow you have done amazing reducing your debt by this amount mine isn't quite so high but you are definitely an inspiration. I've mainly used mine last year to reduce my store card balance and that's what I will be continuing to do now until it's all paid off.January NSD8/100 -
Adding in my PPI refund of £7029.45 :j:j
With the winning last month that gives us our deposit, just got to wait 2 months before going any further as I had missed payments at the beginning of last year and have to wait until they are over 12 months before we can look to get an AIP.
All online rewards will now go straight to paying off store cards and any fb cash sales will go into the savings pot for a new mattress as I am determined not to get it on credit.January NSD8/100 -
Hope everyone is better in your household soon Mike. Really feel for your daughter. I have had two burst eardrums in my life. Once when I was a teenager and then in my early twenties. The pain is horrendous, like someone sticking knitting needles down your ear canal. Antibiotics soon sort it though.
CBC :j What an inspiration!!You have done SO well with getting your debt down. I cant see you not getting rid of it all soon as you are so determined and positive. Well done!!

Gosh CBC, what a wonderful job you're doing with paying down your debts   I wish you all the luck in your aim to totally get rid this year. How sensible to save your pennies when your debt isn't costing you any interest. Very :money:
Brilliant to read all the money-making news already this month. Particularly impressed with all the PPI monies eventually arriving back to the rightful bank accounts.
Hope you all enjoying the weekend

Thanks everyone for your warm words about my debt-paying:T. It's not been easy I can tell you, a case of existing rather than living in the early days:(. This challenge has been a lifeline to me as it's given me a real incentive to make as much as possible to have a better quality of life while I'm doing everything I can to clear the debts. I even allow myself a small occasional treat for being a good girl if I have a lucrative month;). Thanks to all you lovely supportive people I can almost see the end of the long dark debt tunnel:A:beer:
I don't feel any guilt that they've frozen the interest eventually (pretty much common practice for creditors of people on DMPs) as I must have repaid hundreds of thousands in exorbitant charges over the years:o. At least I'm trying to pay as much as I can off what I owe, after all no one made me borrow the money in the first place. I wasn't ever intending to walk away from my obligations.0 -
Sorry, what am I like?:o. I really came on here to say I decided not to go for the breakdown company that Martin was pushing in his weekly emails, the 15 months for the price of 12 one. I read lots of reviews and it looks as if it's not very well thought of by people who had to call them out:eek:
Went for RAC this time via TCB. I'm a regular switcher:rotfl:. Just seen that the cashback isn't payable for 26 weeks:eek:. That's the slowest I've ever heard of.
Congratulations to all you money makers. Some great results so far and we're only 4 days into the month:beer:0
