Notice the words, 'valid claim'.
To Ryanair 90% of claims probably get rejected because Ryanair consider it is not valid, 'in their opinion'. The fact that it is a perfectly valid claim under EU261 doesn't stop them trying to reject it. Don't be fobbed off..
If a plane is delayed because of bad weather its considered extraordinary circumstances and is exempt. But if 95% of flights going that day leave with a delay of only an hour, but 1 or 2 flights are delayed more than 3 hours, should that be a valid claim?0 -
Absolutely true.
Welcome to the autonomous world of Ryanair;)Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
yesterday my 2 daughters and partners were delayed just over 3 hours, 1 hour in airport, the airport shut and they were put on plane for 2 hours, in salou in the heat. offered no free water nothing. 1 of my daughters isnt well. lots of people started shouting and kids crying as it was midnight. my daughter fainted and they tried to help her but she then had a panic attack due to someone videoing her and people grabbing her, they took her off plane for a while, which did help. im now trying to see whats the best way to try and get any compensation , it looks near impossible. ive filled part of ryanairs form out then you had to tick a box, 3 options and none applied to them, they couldnt get on a different flight as airport was closed, they had no option to stay on plane and be over 3 hours delayed i cant find a box saying this. not sure now cos they were put on plane and told weather was bad over france that she can claim. i rang 1 company that told me as far as they could see all other companies were still flying and sky was clear over france. ive also been told you cant go through a 3rd party you have to claim yourself , but if none of 3 options apply does that mean we cant claim for the 3 hour delay, im so confused by it all, any help appreciated thanks karen0

Welcome Karen.
Kindly repost on the Ryanair thread which will be somewhere on the page or the next and your questions will be answered promptly.
Ryanair have stated that they won't accept claims via a NWNF firm such as Botts (one of the recommended legal firms to use).. wether this is legally acceptable is a moot point. If the webform doesn't let you file your claim correctly, you need to find an email address or good old fashioned snail mail. Suggest you download Vauban's most excellent guide to make your 261/2004 journey easier.
And some syntax would help us all read the message much much easier. But appreciate you maybe using a device with limited functionality. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
