New Build Property Boundary Dispute

After having been in our new build property for 6 months we had a visit from our developers technical department upon which we were told that the ground workers had incorrectly put in our front fence and that this would need altering to enable the road to be adopted.
At present the junction at the side of the house has limited visibility and the fence being moved will increase the line of sight as per the transfer document according to our house builder.
We are not sure how to proceed with this as it was out of the blue the TP1 document does show that the garden is more wedged shape than what we have-it looks like we will lose about 8m2 of front garden in a wedge shape which is going to alter the look of our house for the worse.
I am extremely annoyed about this as a builder came to visit with some hand written dimensions on a plan told us the news and left, upon contact with the customer care team they have sent through the TP1 document and asked when can they do the work. Although requested we have not had any further information, such as the initial boundary survey or how our plot got signed off with this error and what exactly needs to change.
I feel at the very least we have been mislead and would be due some sort of compensation-the house builder are not interested in this. We had been previously been told(regarding another issue) that the front fence would need to go in as per the drawing, which it now looks like it hasn't-legal proceedings could work out very costly. Any advice to take this further or should I just forget it and let them get on with it?

It's not clear from your post, but do you mean they're moving the fence so that it will match up with the legal boundary shown on your title plan? If so then that's where it should be, and you haven't lost anything.0

The road will not get adopted without sufficient visibility splay. And that could cause you (and neighbours) significant issue down the line when selling.
The other option is to not have a boundary fence at all so it still looks like it is all yours. Or put in planting set back so it does not look as conspicuous as a boundary fence.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
