CCJ help

Hi All,
I've had a look through a few threads on here but couldn't find the answer to my question.
I managed to get myself a CCJ dated 21/12/16, I have just paid the final instalment back!! i know that it takes six years to "drop off" my credit file but is that 6 years from today or from the date that the CCJ was issued?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Wow thanks for the quick response Tarambor!! I spoke with TM-Legal this morning they said the would notify the courts that is now paid, will check my credit file once it refreshes next month.
Thanks again0 -
Just in case you didn't know cherry, it can take a couple of months for the info to be fed back and updated on your files. Don't forget to check all 3:
The free versions to check your credit files are below:
Experian: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/creditclub
Equifax: https://www.clearscore.com
Call Credit: https://www.noddle.co.ukI'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge threads there. Any views are mine and not the official line of moneysavingexpert.com0 -
can you post and let me know what happens once it shows up settled? if it changes your score or anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Anything it does to the score is irrelevant and not anything to worry about.0

tessiesmum...
all 3 agencies have up dated my ccj status to reflect the fact that it's been paid, the changes to the credit score are
noodle went down by 9 points
clearscore stayed exactly the same
experian went up by 36 points
so it's been a bit of a mixed bag but i did also apply for and get a credit card last month,
also before anyone jump on the thread crying that the credit score doesn't matter, we all know!! I'm simple answers a question..0 -
