I’m wondering if your mum is worrying about telling you your dad had an appointment at the memory clinic when he hadn’t…..or has she forgotten. Maybe she is doubting herself and wants you to have access because of that. Sounds as if you’ve got your hands full.

I know the fact that Dad has lost his memory quite quickly and alarmingly has made her worried the same thing might happen to her so I think that's why she wants us to have access,I did also think this afternoon that it would be handy because if I can access her bank account she can ask me to draw money out if she needs it and it will save her going into town. My mum doesn't understand that she can draw money out of any cash machine ,she only uses the cash machine inside her bank
I feel totally overwhelmed at the moment and it's not helped by the fact that my sister is doing things off her own back without letting anyone know. I can't contact her to even suggest we try to be civil to help mum and dad because she has blocked me on all social media and on the phone too. I am thinking of writing her a letter but last time I reached out I just got a load of abuse and was told never to contact her again 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I forgot to post earlier that I have been and drawn the cash out today for my weekly budget. I am going to sort it out tomorrow though because I was too upset about Dad today to be able to concentrate.
I also had to sort out some meds for dad which he needs but the surgery didn't have a prescription for, I spoke to a lovely helpful receptionist and he said he was going to sort it out with the in house pharmacy team and also message Dads GP about referring him to the memory clinic, mum text me this afternoon to say the meds have been sorted and added to their prescription delivery 🎉🎉
I am also going to try very hard to keep note of my NSDs again,I'm not going to aim for an amount but I am going to track the ones I have so Saturday,Sunday and Monday were NSDs , today wasn't because I bought cakes to take to mum and dads and I'm not counting any spending that comes out of my pre arranged cash budget just unexpected spends that crop up like today's cakes.
I am currently in bed listening to a really heavy downpour which sounds lovely and relaxing. I am going to try to go to sleep soon but there is so much going round in my head I'm not sure I will get much sleep. I couldn't settle to doing anything when I got home today because I was too overwhelmed. I don't cope well with problems and feel very anxious which then leads to a brain meltdown where I just end up going to bed and hiding 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
It must be so difficult, I do feel for you. At least you've been able to get the meds sorted out which is so important.
Could you use a work badge as ID? Or a prescription?

I’m sorry to read you’re going through such a worrying time with your parents. Your sister should bury the hatchet and support you now. I don’t have siblings but my mum used to foster children, some for a long time. When she was dying of a brain tumour one of them tried to access her money and get her to say half of it should be left to him. It was a constant battle with him and he made an upsetting time for me a lot worse. Just keep an eye on your sister, people can be ruthless when money is involved. You’ve got a lot to cope with at the moment take care of yourself too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
