That shift must have been hard. :( I know you go home after but you can't leave it absolutely behind you.

I wonder, if you try the other riding place, if you will find there are people there you already know? If you aren't getting out to hack, other may not be either, so they might look elsewhere. It's worth a try anyway: if you don't like it you don't have to go again.

I hope you can get some quality rest and that the coming week is better. I've heard that daylight early in the day helps set us up for sleep at night - maybe ten minutes in the garden before work or something? x

Oh dear, Onebrokelady, that sounds like a really difficult shift, especially if you've been feeling up & down generally. I can't comment on horsey stuff as my knowledge is non-existent, but I do know that a dose of regular gardening in the sunshine is very good for raising the spirits. I think fresh air does us all good & the vitamin D too, of course. I find my moods can drop if I go too long without being out among green stuff. We went for a walk yesterday - nowhere unusual or expensive, took a packed lunch & I just enjoyed the birdsong, baby moorhens & wildflower-spotting. It felt like such a tonic.
Anyway, I just dropped by to wish you a better week this week & to say treat yourself kindly.

Just thought I had better do another update,I'm still feeling up and down at the moment but financially everything is ticking along quite nicely which I'm relieved about
I have had a bad few days here though ason Sunday I fell off a stepstool at work and hurt my back wrist and ankle, then yesterday I tripped while running for a bus and hit the pavement with my face, there was a trained nurse who happened to be there and she called an ambulance because I had two deep cuts to my forehead,I was taken to the ED of the hospital where I work and they glued my head back together,I also might have broken my nose,I won't know properly until the swelling goes down,my daughter had to stay with me today because they thought I had concussion and I couldn't be left on my own.
I have had to take the day off work tomorrow which isn't good news because I have my meeting with HR on June the 13th so I could do with not being off,I have hurt my neck and shoulder too so am in lots of pain and I have also cut open the ends of two of my fingers so can't wash my hands at work properly,it seems I have finally sorted out my financial life but the rest is falling apart,it's a good job I'm not riidng at the moment because I'm not allowed to for a couple of weeks following a head injury
In other news the weather here has been glorious so I've spent a lot of time out doing the garden,I've tidied up the patio and made it safe for my DGS to be able to sit out on a blanket to play,we had a lovely afternoon last Tuesday sitting out there,DGS has started to crawl this week which is cute,I'm going to have to child proof the house now though:eek:
Tomorrow I'm planning on trying to finish the bloomin cross stitch for my daughter because I have less than a fortnight to finish it now, luckily my sewing fingers aren't damaged
I'm tired now so I'm off to bed and will hopefully feel much better tomorrow x

It sounds to me as though most of your health/HR problems stem from going back to work too soon when you've been ill.

Stop worrying about HR and concentrate on getting yourself as well as you can. Go on the sick and don't even contemplate going back until you are actually well enough to do so, and I'm not talking about a few days/weeks.
You need to give yourself plenty of TLC and huge doses of self interest regarding your health.

Really hope you start to feel better soon. (((hugs))) XX

Hi everyone just stopping by to update my dairy as I've been very neglectful with it lately
The cuts on my head are healed up but I still have a lump on my forehead which I'm hoping will go away at some point,I still have a headache and have had one nearly every day,I'm not sure if it's the headache I had before the fall or a new one caused by the fall,I'm going to my gp tomorrow to try and get it investigated,it's not helping my mood that's for sure.
I have also had other possible bad news,my mum has had to go for tests because there is a high likelihood that she has breast cancer, she was staying with my sister and my sister walked in on her while she was getting dressed and noticed something not quite right so told her to go to the gp straight away, mum went and they get her a rapid referral to the hospital ( where I work ) she has a lump that they took a biopsy from and we have to go back on Wednesday for the results,I saw the lump on the scan and it's big,she has been walking round like this for three years because she didn't want to see her male doctor,I know I should be upset and I think I probably will be at some point but at the moment I'm just soooooooo angry I could scream I lost my eldest sister to a very aggressive breast cancer when she was just 49 and my mum is always going on at us to check ourselves and go for our mammograms but she didn't do this for herself,I just can't put into words how angry I feel,I probably should feel bad that I'm so angry but I can't because this was totally unavoidable, please try not to judge me for this I'm just putting how I feel out there to get it off my chest
Work have given me compassionate leave for Wednesday so I can go with my mum to get the results and my meeting with HR that was scheduled for Wednesday is being rearranged,I'm really hoping that the lump is a benign type of tumour but with the family history I'm not sure it will be

I hope the lump is a benign tumour or something. Presumably not a cyst? I don't blame you for being angry but your mum must be really worried too. Could she not have asked to see a female doctor?

You sound like you have your own health issues too so I would get a drs appointment.
