I'm hoping they aren't going to still be living here when the teenage years arrive,it's will be hell, in a way I feel sorry for them because I'm sure with better parenting they wouldn't be as bad, they always say hello to me if they see me outside and yesterday they younger one wished me Happy Easter:) they just haven't been parented effectively,I'm sure the younger one has some sort of problem but he is actually not too bad,it's the older one who is being a pain in the butt

I used to have a Karcher but gave it to my DD and son in law with the proviso that I could borrow it if I needed it and SILs dad broke it so that was the end of that,I keep saying I'm going to get another one but I would hardly use it so it doesn't seem worth it,it would be good for doing the chicken run though I suppose
I bet it was quite therapeutic smashing up the old sofa:rotfl:

I agree with you about the kids. They sound polite to strangers, which is nice.

I imagine the sofa is something that angers me. It makes it so much worth while! x

They are always polite when they see me which is really nice and makes me feel bad for moaning about them all the time:rotfl:,the more I hear the more I'm realising that this is down to the parents, their mum was screaming at them last night because they had done something they shouldn't,it sounded awful,I'm quite sure they are hard to cope with but if they just stopped screaming and shouting at them constantly things would probably improve

There was a woman at the barbecue at the weekend and she was talking to them in a calm manner, she asked them to do things and said thank you and well done when they had done it and they did everything she asked them to do

Poor settee bearing the brunt of your anger:rotfl:

Yes it sounds like the result of poor parenting. Children copy what adults do so if their parents swear, yell and scream all the time then the kids will too .

Oh my Lordy what a day we have had today:eek:

I was woken up at 6am by DD to say there was a mouse running round downstairs being attacked by the cat,he was playing with it but it got away and hid,by the time I got there it had disappeared
I had to try and find it,it was under one of the settees but when I moved the settee it just moved with it,I nearly managed to grab it by the tail but it was too quick
In the end we had to tip the settee up to trap it and I caught it in a cereal box:j
It was so funny because it was quite a pretty little critter so we were admiring it in the bottom of the box when it suddenly leapt out the box,me and DD both screamed and DD jumped a mile,it landed on the magazine box and started to climb down the side where I managed to catch it again:eek::rotfl:

I relocated it to the top of the garden and it ran off next door,I'm not even sure it was a common mouse,it was too pretty,I'm hoping it was a one off but I'm going to buy some traps just in case

DD looked after Dgs today and he was in a naughty mood again,I will be glad when he has been picked up to be honest

We went to my mums today to get our hair cut by my niece so I'm nice and tidy again now

I haven't done anything in the house or garden today because we have been out nearly all day and it has been raining
Tomorrow im hoping to do some bits in the garden if the rain goes away, I do have to go into town to meet my mum and dad because I left my bus pass at their house today and need it back,I was so relieved it was there bacause I thought I'd lost it in town and it's worth nearly £500

Woke up to sun this morning and got excited but by the time I was out of the shower it was chucking it down,we have had heavy showers all day so not got out to do any gardening

I've been into town to get my bus pass back from my mum and following that I went to the vets to pick up some specialist cat food DD has had to get for the cat, hopefully it will sort out his digestive problems once and for all

I'm now at home procrastinating because I'm supposed to be doing my ironing,I also have to rehang my living room curtains today because I still haven't done it
It's just started absolutely chucking it down so I got home just in time, my poor chickens are out in the garden though so I hope they have taken shelter somewhere

I realised this morning that I get paid tomorrow, our pay date is the 27th of every month but because it falls on a Saturday this month we will get paid on Friday:j
I'm very pleased about this because I am down to my last £8 in my account,I don't usually cut it so fine but the month has been a bit spendy so I'm congratulating myself on getting to the end of it without running out of funds:A

I'm going to sit down and work out my new budget tomorrow and find myself a little notebook to write down all my spends in,Im sure I've got one knocking around the house somewhere so I shouldn't need to buy one,I do love a new notebook though:rotfl:

What a busy lady you are these days. As for the mouse , you wouldn't have seen me for dust:rotfl:. It sounds like the cat brought it in with him.

I hope you found time to rehang your curtains and your little notebook has been put to good use.

    Have a good weekend.

There seem to be a lot of mouse home invasions at the moment . Glad you managed to get it out of the house. We had a small mouse in the living room today who ate the bread off the mouse trap without setting it off  I think it was too light, so a lot of use that is .

Payday is great isn't it? I got paid today and I'm looking forward to my next one already :rotfl:. You've done very well not to run out of money or go into your overdraft :T.

This is what happens when you have a week off work :rotfl: I think the cat must have brought the mouse in,I haven't seen any others anyway

I did my ironing and put my curtains back up,so I can stop thinking about it now,I also gave the bathroom a really good clean too
I took the dog for a walk down on the river after tea, the walk I do takes me about an hour so I'm getting lots of exercise, I listen to a podcast on my way round so I'm being enlightened at the same time

I'm going to be busy again tomorrow as I have food shopping to do,I would have liked to have done that today but had to wait for payday so tomorrow it will be
I also noticed that The Range had some large tomato and pepper plants the other day,so I might go back and see if they have any left ,I think it's probably too late to grow my own from seed now so these would be ideal, they will probably be all gone though now

My plans to move the chicken coop this week have gone out the window because of the rain,it will have to wait now until my next holiday in June unless I can do it over the May bank holiday,I haven't got DGS that week so depending on when im working that could be a possibility

We are meant to be taking the dog on a long walk to a local nature reserve on Saturday but the forecast is for stormy weather so I'm not sure we will end up going,if it's horrible I might talk myself into doing some jobs in the bathroom, I really need to get it finished but it's dragged on for so long I've lost interest,I just need to go and do it and stop putting it off
