Advice following flight(s)

I had the misfortune to travel with Virgin quite recently as well but in economy (could well be the same flight as the OP unless Virgin make a habit of this sort of thing).
Ran out of soft drinks less than 2 hours into a 6 hour flight, Ran out of meals after only 1/3rd of economy had been served and the worst on board entertainment I have seen on a flight in years.
I used to fly Virgin quite frequently but due to competition it has became more economical to use other airlines. They used to be really good but now I would rate them as slightly better than Ryanair and as such I will be avoiding them in future0 -

To date they have offered me 25,000 airmiles which I don’t think really covers all the issues experienced. The above is only showing the flight issues. I had issues in the lounge, arrangement of transport and a damaged bag.
So not just the flights?
Are those other issues with Virgin? Who did you book with?
How much is 25000 airmiles worth and how far away is this from what you want?0 -
Op may be better asking a board guide to move this. There is a section on the travel boards dedicated to flight compensation et al. Alternatively VFlyer or Flyertalk have an audience that may be more helpful.
UC is a business class product, certainly not one I could call premium. You need to work out how much you feel you need compensating and evidence it. What route where you on?
What issues did you experience in the clubhouse? Both the Gatwick and certainly the Heathrow CH's are well regarded when it comes to lounges and staff are superb on the whole. Did you highlight the problems whilst in there?
When I first flew VS the bar used to be a great place to stand and chat to crew but after the changes with their crew/service it changed radically and the crew now do much more with less staff per pax. I certainly don't expect a fully staffed bar but if they can spare time to chat they usually do. Re the food, was any explanation given about not having any/running out? Are you sure it wasn't just your choice of menu or do you mean no food? Considering the 'light bites/graze menu' I would be very surprised if they had nothing to give you.
It's difficult to give any more advice without knowing explicitly what your issues were - transport issues - did you book CDC or pay separately for a car? What damage was caused to your bag and when was it noticed?0 -
first world problems eh.
One of the most over used and pointless phrases that gets posted on these forums.
What else apart from "first world problems" would you like to see on a forum that is populated almost exclusively by people living in the first world?
Anyhow, if a service was paid for and that service wasn't up to its advertised standard, why do you think it wrong to complain?
Jealousy perhaps? because that's just how your post comes across.0 -
