Didn't swap details when rear ended
Hi, a quick bit of advice would be appreciated.
I was rear-ended this morning by a driver as I was joining a roundabout. Pulled over, couldn't see any damage to my car - she was a bit shaken up and had cracked her number plate but all seemed ok and I was in a rush so I just got on my way.
When I got home and opened the boot, there is a two foot long crack in the bumper inside the boot seal.
Question - what do I do now? I got her reg. number, but we didn't swap insurance details or call the police/get witnesses etc. It didn't seem like a problem at the time - but it's going to cost me a fortune to replace the bumper.

As far as your future insurance premiums go, the only way they're not going to be "bumped up" now is to lie about this incident for the next five years.
Your NCB should not be reduced because of this, so long as the other plate turns out to be traceable - and insured.0 -
Don't know why the link to the MIB has been provided. They run a scheme for the victims of uninsured drivers. There's no indication that was the case here.
You don't need to report this to the police as you both stopped and decided no exchange of details was necessary. As suggested, let your insurers deal with it.0 -

Funnily enough their askmid site give you the other drivers insurance details.0 -

askmid will tell you if they are insured, not who with or any other details.0
