I am claiming my 2nd AFD today. Telling myself there is nothing wrong with a lunchtime tipple but no intention of having one. I am off work tomorrow so I will shopping for some nice teas. Maybe I am fooling myself but I think I feel a bit 'clearer' today if that makes sense.
Anyway hope you are all having a good day
2/15 for me thanks Bailey
Doh, just realised it isn't Bailey-so-nice (although you are) It is Baileys-on-ice.
:rotfl::rotfl: as my dad used to say you can call me anything you like as long as you dont call me too early in the morning:D
its probably not the best name to have for a thread about cutting down alcohol but its my favourite for the days I allow myself a drink(Huge calorie load though so its a rare treat now )

As the sun goes down my brain is saying, 'have a glass of wine,' not going to, but this is harder than I thought it would be...
Off to make (more) tea...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Staying off drink has been easy. Getting out of the habit hasn't been.
Best of luckYou can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Morning all, 13/21 for me today please.
I went out for drinks at lunchtime yesterday (2 drinks) and to a do in the evening (2 drinks) and there was champagne at work yesterday afternoon (half a glass). Probably quite a lot for one day but I feel good this morning.0 -
Morning! 14/28 for me today please.
Tonight may be an unexpected drink night. My boss is in the area and wants to catch up and I could do with seeing him about a few things. Won't be a messy one as both of us need to drive in the morning, but I might just tell him I'm not feeling great (not lying, dodgy stomach past few days), plus he knows I've been off the drink for a while. You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Two words. Dark. Chocolate. As pure as possible, in very small amounts. Hotel Chocolat Dark Tiddly Pots are ideal. Tiny buttons of 70% cocoa. They're an acquired taste to begin with but they take the craving away. Just one or two and let them melt, don't crunch them. Works for me every timeYou can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

doingitanyway wrote: »Thanks fatrab. There is definitely an element of habit for me. My plan is to replace the evening glass of wine ritual with a new one so buying some nice teas and a posh candle and will start 'tea-o-clock' doesn't have the same ring as 'wine-o-clock' but hey ho. I haven't made it any easier by going cold turkey on chocolate and cheese and processed food. All props gone! 3/15 for me today
Wow thats going some  I have always done one thing at once but the result of that is I usually replace with food and therefore when I gave up for example smoking I put a lot of weight on. I now think about giving myself a break when in the early days but take back control when the waistlines are getting tight. Sugar depletion is definitely the problem.
My saviour at wine o'clock is Becks Blue which I have with a top of lemonade or ginger beer (yeah I know odd) makes me feel like i'm getting a treat.
