Can't tell you how much I am loving my little dancing purple thing! Thank you so much!
I am feeling better today, but so glad I started on this Dry January. It has proved to me that I don't need to drink at the weekends which is when I used to. I am also watching a lot of TV programmes about drinking etc.
I'm not saying I'm not going to drink ever again, but I feel I have more of a control on it now.
I haven't been particularly challenged as I haven't been anywhere this month, but this isn't unusual for me and my drinking was done in front of the telly.
I am going to a wedding in May though and even if I am drinking then, I have committed to driving, so it will be a drink free wedding for me! I'm sure I'll enjoy the food!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Hello everyone!
17/31 please Shaggy.
Like you, pollyanna, I'm also pleased that I'm trying for a dry January. Last time I did it, it was alongside the OH and I think it was for a charity. We got to the end of January and we went 'yay end of that'. This time, I thinking more about when and why I drink wine, (I have a habit of starting when I begin cooking the evening meal). It's our silver anniversary this year in August and we want to go abroad, (we haven't been abroad in years) so I'd rather the money spent on booze went towards the holiday!0 -
SNC - reporting early as not drinking tonight - 5/5
And 16/26 for the month.
And having a bit of success diet wise too - sitting eating an oatcake now - although would prefer a biscuit!0 -
Good evening
11/15 for me, and delighted to have achieved 4/4 on the SNC.
I've been bored today and could quite easily have sunk a bottle of wine this afternoon, really glad I resisted!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -

Well done to everyone, especially Pollyanna and Annie.

Can I declare 5/5 on SNC and 17/16 for this month? Don't think I did this yesterday.
I'm feeling okay about tonight. Have Rubicon in and some other fizzy drinks. Apparently, tonight or tomorrow is the time when people cave on Dry January. After the initial two weekends and the noveltry of a challenge has worn off or something.
I'm still committed to doing it, so think I should be okay.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
