Calling in early for today, so it will be 13/17 for me please. Was my work’s do tonight but I ducked out completely and took the day off so I didn’t get pressured into going at the last minute. It didn’t go down too well but honestly, I find that I care less and less what people think.
Tomorrow will not be AF but then hopefully after tomorrow that’s it until the ‘business end’ of December.0 -
10/15 for December today. I'm in a massive strop because it's my Bootcamp Christmas party tonight and I can't go because I've got to be at M&S at 6am tomorrow. I haven't got an office party to go to obviously so this was my only night out.
Bah humbug.
Sorry to hear that Annie . At least you can clock up another AF night.
Personally I'd probably have gone to the party. It took me back to when I was a student. I was temping in a very posh department store and went into work on New Year's Day having been up all night! :eek:0 -

Home from the office do and did not massively overdo it, though drank and ate a bit too much, but really did not get drunk, pretty happy with that.
Going to make a super-early call, since it's now technically Saturday, and say 12/21 for today0 -
13/20 for me please and 1/2 for weekend. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Had my first alcoholic drink last night in 74 days! Went out for my 'works do' (am not working while I project manage the house build so my lovely OH arranged a night out for me).
I had two 'festive' proseccos over 3 hours that were mainly cranberry juice, so didn't actually feel any effects, though I have to say I have the old morning feeling today of not being quite right. But it has reassured me that I can drink without going OTT.
5/5 SNC

Sorry about that AnnieG, because missing out on a party is disappointing - until you reach a certain age. To be honest Christmas parties are my idea of hell now, only superseded by New Year's Eve parties, but that an age thing, I think. I was mad for them when I was younger and single.Green_Karen wrote: »Had my first alcoholic drink last night in 74 days! I'm so glad you enjoyed your drinks last night, but interesting you feel 'not quite right' even drinking that lightly. There's no doubt that we build up a tolerance to it if we drink every day and it's only when we stop that we notice the real effect.
The lodger went out to a Christmas lunch on Thursday and was as rough as rats on Friday morning. He threw in the towel and came home from work at lunchtime and slept the rest of the day. He's had to go into work this morning to catch up. OH went out to lunch yesterday and barrelled back in at 7.30 last night, but he appears to be okay-ish today. We'll see. He didn't pick a snitty argument last night which was a relief - when I drank I thought it was me that picked all of the arguments, but I now know it wasn't.
I wouldn't go back to drinking if you paid me, although there is the possibility of an event next year which, if it happens, I've said I'll share a bottle of champagne with OH. That's it though. It is absolutely a one off.
15/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0 -
8/14 please and pleased with myself as a very rare AF Saturday. Don't go OTT often these days anyway but this weekend is going to be AF and hope to remain that way until Thursday night when a drink to celebrate the start of the holidays for me seems a good idea. Aiming to be at 12/14 by Thursday so could make target in December.
Sorry to read about the job Annie G - better luck next time.0 -
Morning all,
14/20 for me for today, please. 2/2 weekend. x
I think I will go for 4 for the SNC. I don't plan on having a drink, but I am sure this week will have some trials and tribulations. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
