Thanks Maman. There have been a few moments where it’s been tricky, but out of habit. It’s not been overwhelming. Been lovely to wake up clear headed. I don’t doubt it’s going to be a long challenge.

Yes go for it CuppaTea, you're doing brilliantly! :T:T:T:T:T If you can get through the tricky moments they do eventually go away but I'm sure you know that :)

Only on this thread could a post like that make complete sense!

I tried the Sainsbury's sparkling white wine and found it to be vcery, very sweet. Noseco is drinkable though and I found that in the chilled cabinet in the Co-op.

Keep it going, Cuppa Tea. We're all rooting for you.

    29/31 please, Shaggy.

    HA ha!

Thanks for those two. I have to have 0.0% though, which is really frustrating and limiting. x

I found tonight surprisingly easy as I was busy and distracted.
And it’s a Monday, I rarely drink on Mondays.

It does seem like a long time since I last had a drink. Yet it’s only been 4 days. It’s nothing.

Can I ask what you would consider to be a sensible amount of wine in one go? I also need to reset my drink number too.

  • CuppaTea I guess that is going to vary hugely. I would have thought 1-2 glasses would be reasonable, but it depends on the size of the glass :D

Day 3 of the 30DC and I thought the video about setting new behavioural pathways was very interesting, if long. If all the videos are 15-20 mins long I'm going to really struggle to focus! Also not 100% convinced by the science bit, as I'm always suspicious about airy references to 'brain cells' which makes me think of NLP.

Anyhow, calling 26/21 today. Bring on November :D

Morning, been AWOL for a few days, had a holiday on Friday and was off work yesterday.

Went out for planned meal on Saturday but came home early as Mrs fatrab wasn't feeling great. Had a quiet Sunday as a result so 1/1 weekend days achieved as planned.

Monthly total sitting at 27/30 and absolutely won't be drinking today or tomorrow so calling in a very early 28 for the month. Can you pop me down for 4 School nights this week too please Shaggy?

Lost another 3.5lbs at SW on Saturday and got my 2 stone award so that brings my total loss to 2st 2lbs.

I am absolutely focussed for November, I am going to reach my target next month if it kills me!!!! :)
You can have results or excuses, but not both.

I found 0.5% is about as good as most get. It was for cooking and I had half a glass to see what the taste was like - good enough was my

    research finding.

Sorry Mrs Fatrab was below par on the holiday. November's such a miserable month being absetmious seems like just a jot of extra misery, and therefore not like total deprivation when everyone else is whooping it up - because no-one is in November. Good luck with it.

Very interesting figures on what happens in the body after you stop drinking. Not seen that before. I found after a year or so my sense of smell was incredibly heightened, and it lasted a good two years. It's back to normal now but it was most strange being able to nif things that other people couldn't smell, and all very real.

How much is normal, Cuppa Tea? One glass of wine with a meal, really, anything more is a bit indulgent and after two no-one who has a bit of an issue with booze can stop. That'll be me then.

For me, one is too many, and there is no such thing as enough. On that basis I'm AF. It's not something I wanted to do, it was something even I knew I had to do and it's worked. I'd never voluntarily to back to drinking.

    30/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

Cuppatea - re. your question on wine - I normally share a standard bottle with my OH when we have wine and we do have exactly half each as I always use a 125ml measure for my wine which works out to 3 glasses each.

Had a bit of a long weekend with drinking as it was OH's birthday and we had various celebrations but nothing OTT. Back to being AF today as I only have today & tomorrow to earn my black cat ;)

13/12 for today please Shaggy and can I set my usual target of 12 for November?
