  • Good morning everyone.

    23/28 for me, please.

Thank you for the October challenge, Shaggy. Can you put me down for 31, please?
  • Good morning all

18 please Shaggy and 2 for the SNC

Cathybird - It certainly is a lovely morning. I'm definitely an early riser and like to get stuff done first thing so I don't feel like I'm playing catch up all day.

So me and Piglet did our Alive n Kicking session yesterday. He was most pleased to see he wasn't the biggest kid there, but its very clear to both of us now that he was the most unfit! Overall he enjoyed it though so is keen to keep going. We have to keep a food diary this week...he said to me I have to put ALL my wine on there! Guess thats comment enough to make me keep an eye on it this weekend!:o

    Morning everyone!

Had a great weekend with the friends who visited but I'm glad to be back to normality. It was a heavier weekend than I was expecting. We did the open top bus tour of Glasgow on Saturday morning and visited a few local attractions on Monday but basically the weekend was just a tour of pubs and restaurants!

So my totals have taken a slight hit as a result:

21/26 AFDs (only going to manage 25 for the month)
2/4 School nights (only going to manage 3 for the week)

At Slimming World last week I only managed to maintain weight from the previous week so I'm a bit disappointed as I know I'm going to have put weight on following the weekend. I was straight back on the horse yesterday though, but I don't think I'll have recovered on time for Saturday's weigh in.

Setting myself a very strict target of 30 for October please Shaggy. It's Mrs fatrab's birthday next week so we've a night out planned next weekend. Other than that I'm staying away from alcohol for the foreseeable future.
You can have results or excuses, but not both.
Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Alive and Kicking sounds very positive MissP. A food diary is good. Like on here, there's something about knowing you'll have to account for it that makes you stop and think.:)

Well done for getting back on the horse fatrab. It's frustrating when you don't lose but the thing about SW (or any healthy eating plan) is that it has to fit in with RL. So, yes there will be days/weekends/holidays when you choose to stray but provided you get back and treat healthy eating as the default position then you'll get there.:)

Target day for me today. Aside from my 3 week holiday in June, this has been a very social time so a low score for me. All planned and mostly DH's big birthday to blame.;) October will be better.

    10/10 AFDs please Shaggy.
  • Honey Bear - exactly. Made me wonder what he thinks when I crack open a bottle of wine. Although its accepted in our house its my only real vice (apart from haribo but we won't go there :o) I don't want him thinking its ok to overindulge on a regular basis!

Maman - Yes, Alive n Kicking was great fun. 7 children and parents but only I and another Mum joined in on the exercise part which I thought was a bit sad :( One mum sat through the entire thing with her arms folded and a blank look on her face. Awful when you're meant to be there to support your child. Anyhow, Piglet enjoyed it. Loved he was the youngest there and yet the tallest by a country mile :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Sorry, also meant to say:

Fatrab - As Maman so rightly says, any eating plan has to fit in with real life or things would get very miserable very quickly. I would just accept you've got a couple of weeks where losses aren't going to be showing, but at least you won't be gaining as you are getting back on plan on the days you can :T
