  • I may need to revise my target as a friend came over with a present of some nice wine and we drank it together. So rather than a completely dry September it would be more realistic to aim for 25/30. 6/30 so far :)
  • Good morning all

5 please Shaggy and 4/5 for the SNC

Actually quite pleased with my total for the SNC despite not getting the full 5. Being home during the hols I sort of got into the habit of a glass of wine or two every night so glad to knock that on the head and be waking up bright eyed and bushy tailed. Done wonders for the finances this week too ! :o

Not sure if I will be AF tonight yet or not. Decision will be made later. And I was meant to get back on track with SW today but only remembered after eating crumpets for breakfast :rotfl::rotfl:That will be tomorrow then.....:D

    Have good Fridays everyone

Part of the issue with taking back control over alcohol is that we Brits have got into the habit of thinking it's part of every social interaction Delighted Mum and Glenda Sugarbean. That little factoid scuppers our best intentions more than I'd realised when I stopped completely, but if you know you're going to stop after two, that's a whole lot better than just carrying on until it's all finished - as I used to do!

    7/30 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I want those dancing Homers Shaggy....put me down for 5 next week please!

Honeybear - You're so right. The stopping issue is the biggest one for me. Once I've had one glass I, invariably, keep going till its all gone. And it does seem to permeate most day to day activities. I did the dry January a couple of years ago and it really made me aware of how on TV drinking is showed more or less constantly. That's not normal life but runs the danger of making people think it is. Probably not explained myself very well but you get my drift :rotfl:
