If she was treated on the NHS, which is the only healthcare I've ever received, the whole ethos of clinical staff seems to be about the individual's needs, not the education and bollocking of them for past 'mistakes.' It's a question of 'we are where we are' and as a patient I am very, very grateful for that. (I've mentioned an anaesthetist's comment to be about the booze issue several times in the past so I won't repeat it now.) I think the reason is that it doesn't help when you're trying to heal someone.
Fair enough, Honey Bear - I wasn't thinking about bollocking cancer patients for past mistakesso much as letting them know about future risk factors once they had recovered, since surely this woman is hugely at risk?

I used to be on here ages ago (as Miss Piggy). Couldn't figure out my log-on for that user name so have re-registeredHaven't been on MSE for a long long time but, due to changes in circumstances I'm mooching around the forums again.
We are in the position of having to try and tighten our purse strings...and just to scare myself I sat and worked out what my spending has crept up to again on wine. Its not pretty, and its going to change
So does everyone mind if I join in again?? I'm going to go for 22/30 for september please Shaggy
Good to see some familiar faces are still here....and hoping you don't all mind if i creep back in

Welcome Back!
How's piglet? And Mr Piggy?
Do you mind if I still call you Miss P?What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Good morning all and thank you for the welcome back:)
Shaggy - Miss P is absolutely finePiglet is no longer a little piglet....nearly 13 now (going on 40), taller than me and built like a proverbial brick outhouse
:rotfl: Mr P is good too, although we are feeling old as his daughter has now provided us with 2 grandchildren! I have a grandson who's nearly 4 and a granddaughter who's 2 weeks old. Both gorgeous :happyhear
Anyway...wasn't AF here last night. I had a glass left in a bottle in the fridge so had that while I was cooking dinner. Was almost tempted to send Mr P for more but resisted the urge. Now there's no more in the house and I'm aiming for an AF weekend. Cant really afford wine this week anyway as the exhaust needs doing on the car,so that should keep me on the straight and narrow...hopefully!
Have good days everyone

Calling in a very early month end total of:
5/5 School nights
26/28 AFDs
20/28 TAFDs
A little disappointed that I didn't do better, especially the take-aways. Next month should be a lot better
Probably won't be on here again until Monday as have a busy day out of the office tomorrow. Have a great weekend! You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!
