    :hello: everyone!
well today I've got a lecture from 2-4PM on Music and Education, then I've got a piano lesson at 4:45PM and then I'm ushering for a concert at 7PM so its going to be a busy afternoon/evening for me! :) x

Hi folks! Stuck at work again but at least I've got salsa tonight!!!

The last project I did (paint the living room) ended up costing £30K because I dropped a tin of paint on the old carpet - it was an accident. Insurance co, decided to replace it, but I wanted a new fire place and surround before the new carpet was laid (£1.5K,). Flue was condemened so needed that lining (£1K), Chimney stack /gable wall was badly pointed so had that repointed (£3k), decided if I'm having all this work done I might as well have the loft converted and the house rewired. £30K spent later he does the DIY jobs.

Hope everyone has a great day.

We're wondering about having a loft conversion, but ours is complicated, we will need to have the ceilings lowered upstairs, and a spiral staircase fitted. It's either that or move house though.

Cat, can I just ask about something that is really worrying me - if you've no loft, where on earth do you keep your Xmas tree? :rotfl:

It looks like all my old bank accounts have now been closed, so things appear to be moving on quite quickly now.

Only since I've become BR that I've become really active in here, better to speak to people in the same position than try and battle through things alone, like I have done in the past and made myself ill with worry. :D
