Morning everyone and thanks for the thread nmlc, it's awful to think that people are so abused in their place of work :(
Bbbrr, much colder here today and the heating has kicked in but at least the sun is out. Have just been out to feed the birds and they were all waiting in the apple tree for their breakfast.

Not much planned here, the bathrooms need a deep clean after a couple of weeks of just a wipe around so will crack on with that, this afternoon will be spent with Lulu and hopefully we can have a gentle hack around the yard.

I pulled some meatballs out of the freezer for tea, not sure what I will do with them, maybe just wait until inspiration strikes!

Good to read that Becky had a reasonable time at school Dumpling.

Have a good day folks x

    Morning all,

Message from Grump this morning was "I slept ok". Now his messages are usually a bit longer than that so he's either not coping at all or the drama on top of a 4 hour drive to work yesterday has wiped him out. He usually rings me on his breakfast break so I'll get to find out.

The Blonde One isnt happy with the standard of care offered at the nursery where Diva goes on a Tuesday. She always comes home in a different set of clothes to what she goes in because shes wet through...Diva doesnt drink a lot so we are presuming she doesnt get her nappy changed regular enough. Her milk consumption has plummeted too. I was so tempted to tell her id have her on a Tuesday too but to be honest...I find the crying hard to deal with as she wants to be cuddled all the time. Shes fine if shes held. Im going to suggest if she cant get these issues resolved to look for another nursery but secretly im angry with her. If they all didnt walk round in designer clothes and have one holiday a year instead of several im sure they wouldnt be so financially stretched.

A friend has messaged me to see if I want to meet up. Ive declined.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a good day all

  • Good morning,

Very dull morning in Glasgow. Looks like it'll pour down any minute.

Last night, after work, I played football as planned which was good fun. I soon got home, showered and in bed for 10ish.

Been to the gym this morning and I've no plans this evening. Trying another new recipe tonight for crispy sesame wings.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Judi - I hope DH is feeling bit more himself today. I'd imagine something like that would stick with you for a long time.
Jackie & Scarlett - You don't both go to the same quiz night, surely...?

Cold and frosty here in Bristol. OH had to scrape the car to go and fetch DGS. I am sitting waiting for them to arrive and then it will be coffee and jammy dodgers. That will be it until 3.15 and I feel a trip to soft play and lunch there coming on, It is hard to amuse a 3 year old all day when he was already up here yesterday with his mummy.

Hugs to worrieds and poorlies, Dumpling glad that Becky had a good start yesterday. Judi hope that OH is getting over his shock. TA have a nice day out.

Well have a good day folks and keep warm.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Bright start, we did have frost overnight but it was eased by the time I woke up. Sun is shining, although its cold, will be getting OH out for 2 short walks if it stays fine.

Dumpling, pleased to hear that Becky had a good day yesterday.

Judi....it may take sometime for the shock to wear off, councelling is a possibility.

Blood nurse has just been to take blood to check OH's salt levels, hoping its gone up a bit, should get the results in a couple of days.

I was sad to read that Peter Mayle passed away last week, I enjoyed his books about their life in France, have just dug out my copies to read again.

Courier picked up the parcel yesterday so its on its way, hopefully it will get to its destination in a couple of days. Emmaus also called to pick up some bits for their shop. They sell things to help the homeless, just opened a new shop in the town.

Salmon, new potato's and peas for supper. I cut the pineapple yesterday so there is fresh pineapple for dessert. Lentil soup and toast at lunch time, made the soup yesterday.

dumpling, I'm glad to hear Becky is doing well. Lainey, has Lulu moved now and if so does she like her new home?

I've been a bit busy over the weekend. Sis-i-l came down and we (with DD nd D-i-l) went to Claridges for afternoon tea followed by a visit to the ballet at Sadler's Wells (Matthew Bourne's Cinderella). It was great, tea was scrumptious, DD had organised it through one of her contacts and we had a super table and a complimentary bottle of champagne. The ballet was beautiful, it was the last night and I think it's going on tour - TA your GD would love it I'm sure. It's set in WW2 so not traditional but very effective. It's also not too long (I do find some ballets a bit boring when they have very long acts).

On Sunday we went to see DS and D-i-l and then for a walk at Wicken Fen. It was beautiful. Then S-i-l went home yesterday.

A quiet day today I think.

Yes, we moved last Friday and she has settled in very well thanks Snoozer, think it helps that it's a smaller yard and the stables face in on a centre courtyard so that she can see her field mates instead of in a large line of boxes?
We live around 10 minutes from Wicken Fen, it's lovely isn't it :)

    Hello all, I'm back !
We had a fabulous time and the food was fantastic, but I think I may have put on more weight because the desserts kept jumping onto my plate . Every meal was a buffet and I just had to try everything :D. I was very good at breakfast though, as I didn't have the full bacon, sausage etc. like Mr Fix It, I just had fresh fruit and yoghurt, followed by a rather large apricot pastry :naughty: . The only downside was that I woke up on Monday morning with an allergic shiner ( yes I had to g00gle that as I have never heard of it ) and I felt everyone was looking at me :(. I hope they didn't think Mr Fix It had thumped me ! I've had to get back on the anti histamines and I still don't know what started it off.
Anyway the WM is already on and things are reasonably tidy. so not much needs doing this afternoon.
I found a HM cottage pie in the freezer so we'll have that, I think I'd better have a lot of veg with mine :D.
Hope everyone is well or at least on the mend.
Sending lots of love and hugs to all.
