Evening Diary,
and sit down! Wow its been a busy one today.
Popped to Mr T for things we can't get at Mr Al's this morning (£9.79) then onto N3xt for a couple of presents for a wedding and a new baby (£31). Then we had a couple of hours catching up with friends at this adventure place nearby (£25) all budgeted for but feels like an expensive day . The kids had a brilliant time and it was great to catch up with my friend so I didn't begrudge it too much :rotfl:. Will definitely go back as its great for older kids. We took food with us which saved us spending on that too.
Tomorrow DD1 is at football camp so its just DD2 and I. We are going to see my friends new baby and then off for lunch and shopping. DD still has £60 plus vouchers from her birthday :money:, she has insisted she pays for lunch and would like to go to Nandos. Of course I can't let a 9 year old pay so will transfer it back into her bank.
The weather has been glorious here today, it just totally makes everything feel wonderful. Plus I got a load of washing dry which makes it even nicer. Its going to be nice again tomorrow so going to get another load out.
Food:
Breakfast - beans on toast
Lunch - cheese, salad and hm coleslaw wrap, yoghurt and crisps
Tea - tagliatelle bolognaise and garlic bread
Snacks - biscuit and strawberry and banana smoothie
Gym - spinning
Think thats all, hope everyones enjoying the sunshine xxMummytogirls x0 -
Sounds like you've had a busy and productive day MTG. Isn't it lovely to see the sunshine

Afternoon Diary,
Can't believe its Saturday afternoon already.
DD and I had a lovely day yesterday and she's still got £26 left :money:. We collected DD1 and then went to Mr Al's and spent £63 in there. I cracked on and did most of the cleaning last night, really glad I did pull my fingers out as I was shattered by tea time.
Today I've been spinning this morning. Since coming back ive caught up with my ironing and cleaned the bedrooms which was all that was left.
DH has taken the girls over to his friends cafe. They have a grand opening on Monday and are doing a trial run with friends and family today. The best bit is they're not charging and its kept them out of my hair for 2 hours :rotfl:.
The girls are going over to my Dads this afternoon and he's treating them to their tea out! Living the life of riley these 2 today!!
DH and I have a wedding to attend. Its a good half an hour away so DH is going to drive.
Im really tired today, think the last few days have just tipped me over so I reckon il need a nap this afternoon :rotfl:
Food:
Breakfast - 1 weetabix before spinning
Snack - strawberries and actimel
Lunch - Strawberry crisp cereal
Tea - mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini with coleslaw and might sneak a few french fries in there too
Think thats about all, hope everyones enjoying their weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -

Evening Diary,
Started this post over 2 hours ago and then my sister turned up for a cuppa and catch up. We had a lovely time at the wedding reception, good food, music and lovely people. DH drove and we spent about £30. Have felt tired today though and had to have a snooze this afternoon :rotfl:
Today has been NSD4/10, haven't even left the house. Ive also found another Mr Al's switch that has been a good one, a joint of beef! I always buy my beef from the butchers but bought a joint of the specially selected Mr Al's for £2 cheaper. It was just as good so thats another switch made.
Food:
Breakfast - weetabix and toast
Lunch - cereal and rich tea biscuits
Tea - beef and trimmings
Just had some chocolate wedding cake and strawberries
We had planned to meet up with some friends tomorrow but not sure yet as one of them is poorly. Haven't broken the news to the kids yet as they'll be gutted. Will see what happens in the morning.
So glad I've still got another week offxx

I'm liking your lunch
Re your post elsewhere about plants that reliably come back and flower every year:
What size space do you have? Is it pots you want to fill or a border? Does it get some sun? What colours do you like? Do you want pretty climbing things to go up fence panels? My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Hi Redo,
Thanks for your post.
So our back is south facing and gets the sun for most of the day. We have a decent space which is mostly lawned with a small patio area. I just have about 6 pots on the patio and then 3 hanging baskets on the fence. Most of my flowers on the patio end up being eaten by the slugs! I have tried with a clematis up shed but it seems to have died off. I am quite good at growing strawberries and cucumbers in pots.
I like to have the plants contained so don't have any borders or anything.
The front is very shaded and doesnt get the sun until really late into the afternoon. This is all flagged with a few pots and 1 hanging basket. These plants don't get eaten.
Thank you for you help in advancexx
