So if they choose to get the owners details and write to the owner, the owner should just ignore the letter?0

When you read the Scotland stuf in the NEWBIES thread, did you miss 'IGNORE THE PARKING FIRM'?
The NEWBIES thread is bang up to date.
It really is unfair to keep asking people to confirm what you have already read.0 -

Yes, or send a copy to the retail park owner and scream at them to cancel it or your family will NEVER shop there again.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For those that missed it, here is the original opening post:Hello, I am a student and my college has a car park for students to park, but there isnt enough spaces for all the students. I attached an image link of where the car was parked highlighted by yellow. People park there all the time, you can fit two cars there easy and no one has a problem, Today I got a parking charge from UKPC saying that the car was "not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space", there is no lines there that indicated that you cant park there (like yellow lines) and lecturers do it all the time and they get no tickets, there was a few cars that were parked the same as xxx and they didn't get a ticket. I checked and UKPC is a member of BPA they want £50 within 14 days if not £85, now I dont have that much money to give and they threaten with court action if nothing is heard back within 28 days and extra £60 charge. I need help because I dont really know if they can enforce it, This happened in scotland
