I read the newbie section and there isnt much that says about scotland, just says to complain to the manager of retail park and ignore the ticket and not to contact the UKPC unless I get a claim, so should i just ignore this and hope it goes away? what if i get a claim (i dont even know what that is)? or is it better to pay up the £50 because if later ill get charged more ill definitely wont be able to pay that

No, read the NEWBIES thread. Why are you asking? If that was the advice, it would say that...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So you didn't read the bit that says whatever you do, do not name the driver?

You would be wise to edit your post so that there are no clues to the driver's identity.

For example, your second sentence should perhaps look something like:
I attached an image link of where the car was parked highlighted by yellow.

There is no way that any parking company can say that an individual was parked incorrectly. They can only say a car was parked wrongly.
With that in mind, adjust your fourth sentence.

As above, edit your post to remove information about who was driving!

Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper.

After that, follow the advice you have already seen that tells you to ignore the scammers in Scotland and never reveal the driver's identity to anyone.

ok so all the latters and stuff should be ignored as i understand, but what if they take further action as they can contact DVLA and get the keepers details and then contact the keeper

Yes they can get keeper's details that way.
    How does that help them?

There is no keeper liability in Scotland.
The only person liable for the alleged incident is the driver, and if they do not know who the driver is they can do nothing.

YES they can contact the DVLA (is the car reg in scotland?) , yes they can write to the OWNER

BUT they can only win a court case against the DRIVER

now see why we say EDIT!!

  • so for example if the keeper was the driver at the time, but as long as no one tells the UKPC who was the driver they cant prove it ?
