No service with O2 - how can i end my contract
Options
I have a 24 month sin only contract with O2, with 18 months left to run. When i took out the contract the service was good. However it has now deteriorated to the point where i am completely unable to receive texts or phone calls at home - which is losing me business. O2 agree that there is no service to my house and say they are unable to improve it, unless both my husband and I replace our phones (we both have relatively new 4G phones). They also say they are unable to release me from my contract without charging me the full fee for the remaining 18 months (about £500). I don't see why i should be forced to pay for the remaining 18 months when the service has deteriorated so badly. Any advice would be very welcome.

Phone companies rearrange their sites occasionally and this may be the cause of your trouble. Have you ascertained for certain that a local site has failed, or been removed. If so, you might have a case for ditching your contract early.
However, O2 do offer WiFi calling which may resolve your issue, see:

I’m not an O2 customer, so can’t offer any further ideas...0 -
Are you on a business or consumer tariff?0
