    Morning all

Lying in bed doing my best to try and get out of it. I think I tried to condense 2 nights sleep into 1. I need to get up as my Granddaughter will be here soon and I need to open the side gate which is kept locked.

Grump had an unpleasant drive to work. He came across an accident. A man walked straight out into oncoming traffic on a busy road. The woman who hit him was distraught and there wasnt much of the mans head left. He stayed with her till the emergency services came. He didnt see the accident so wasnt a witness so left when they got there. Hes just phoned me....time to evaluate a few priorities he said.

    Anyway, must go....

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

    Morning everyone,

Feel a bit wrung out as didn't sleep so well, the wind was howling around the cottage in the early hours, still breezy here but at least the sun is out.
Was busier than thought yesterday what with hoovering my car inside and helping DOH to trim apple tree, I wouldn't let him get right up the ladder because it was so windy but we managed to give it a fair tidy.
Today I need to get a couple of bales of hay for my girlie, have a 15 bale delivery coming on Saturday but don't have enough to last until then, then it's catching up on washing and whatever else needs doing.
Hope today goes as well as possible for Becky Dumpling playing good music is a fab idea, it really lifts your spirits doesn't it.
    Enjoy your week off TA!
Poor man Judi and poor lady who hit him, certainly makes you think doesn't it.

Have a good day folks x

Oh my Dolly was on top form this morning as the police arrived early to batter down the door of one of the maisonettes that is at the bottom of our road so bit of excitement there the dog unit has just arrived my friend lives a couple of doors down so i am sure she will fill me in on the gossip later.
Weather is windy but mild so no heating for us. DS has a nasty cough again and is wandering around muttering dark thoughts to the person who gave it to him :( but DH and I seem ok at the moment this bug seems to be lingering a long time this year.
Dinner tonight is gammon steaks new potatoes and parsley sauce
Hugs to all who need one and extra strength to those who need a top up
Have a great day whatever you are up to x
  • Morning one and all,

    Happy Monday!!!

After a hectic week last week, I took the weekend to reset my batteries. Much needed and feeling more human now. Back to my normal routine.

Gym this morning and I've 7-a-side tonight. Something healthy for dinner, I'm back on the ketogenic diet (similar to Atkins), so high fat, low carbs. I've made high fat cupcakes and I'll ice them tonight. Lemon and raspberry. We'll see how it turns out.

MSD - What are you baking...?
Dumpling - Good luck to Becky today!

    Good morning
Grey and damp looking, but not raining yet. I am looking for some get up and go, surely there must be some lurking somewhere hereabouts:D

Not feeling at all like eating, but have medication to take and need to get going to collect new to us car this morning.

Dumpling I hope that all goes well for Becky, AOD enjoy your day, certainly no housework to be done. Judi How awful for your DH and the ones directly involved, even 45 years later I still vividly remember the details of a RTA my then OH and I witnessed where one person was badly injured and died some months later, thankfully no flashbacks these days, just comes into my mind now and then.

Judi, know that road quite well, strange place for this to happen unless deliberate or judgement in crossing the road severely impaired, so awful. Cannot imagine how the family and friends of this poor person are feeling:(

Thanks for the thread nmlc, hugs to those in need.
I finished DGD's waistcoat and I've started another blanket, in blue & white.
I need to charge up my vacuum ready for a week of cleaning other boats.

Yes we know it well too. Strange place for a pedestrian to cross. First thing I thought was suicide. Its not far from the car dealership Grump uses.

Grump is in delayed shock. Work is being very supportive. The woman hadnt hit him as I first thought she had stopped. Grump stopped to check the services had been called as the woman was clearly out of her depth. Havent got a clue about the van...maybe if he mentions it later. First thing he thought when he saw the body in distance was Prodigal....although too far for Prodigal to walk his hair was similar and clothing style. He was relieved to see it wasnt.

He is now beating himself up that he wasnt more supportive with the man who was dying in front of him.

    Meanwhile, Diva is wailing....
