Small TT yesterday and today. Have adjusted signature.
Back to work today, long shift. I shall really miss the kids and the dogs today!
Went to look at a new car yesterday which I will be picking up on Monday. It does mean my house savings will be taking a bit of a battering but it is needed. I can't keep putting loads of miles on my motorhome and with the new higher paid agency work I have taken on which is further away, it's not just miles on the clock but petrol that its costing me. The car is a relatively cheap runaround but very tidy and good mpg. I will adjust savings figures as soon as I have paid for it. It will take me a couple of months to 'pay back' that money to savings, luckily I have a flexible ISA so as long as I pay it back by the end of the tax year it won't lose the tax free status. I hate to see my savings drop right down but needs must.
In other news, my plans for a small business venture are gaining ground. Yesterday I opened a business bank account and as soon as I have all the details I will be transferring a small amount of money for start-up costs (which I will repay to other savings once I am earning) The new car will also help with this venture. Lots of exciting stuff will be happening in the next few months:j And if all goes to plan it will eventually put me in a much better financial position:)
Grocery budget still on track to come well under this month. I need to sort the meal plan for May, plus write the shopping list. I have already booked the Tesco delivery for the first and added my favourites to secure the slot, but I will need to change/add quite a bit once I have done the meal plan. I may not get to this for the next few days as working solidly 12 hour days until Sunday, but will get to it on Monday or Tuesday.
Better get on as I have my lunch to make before I leave for work. Have a great day all xNovember NSD's - 70 -

Thanks Beanie:)
Last shift of 3 x 12hrs today. Everything is aching
TT's done and sig updated. Banking done and paperwork set out for me to attack tomorrow when I am off. Dogs fed and my lunch is made, so just going to browse and drink tea until I have to get ready for work:D
Have a lovely Sunday everyone xNovember NSD's - 70 -
I really don't know how your for everything in! Starting a new business as well, you make me feel very lazy :rotfl:
Have a great SundayMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Thanks NG, but I can assure you, I have some very lazy days:D
£1.00 TT this morning takes me just 51p away from £200 in my travel fund. It will be nice to see it hit the next £100 tomorrow:) Also my tax relief from pension is in today so a little boost to the retirement fund too:)
So tired after my 3 x 12hr shifts so will be doing a lot of not a lot today:) Need to phone the garage this morning to make sure car is ready to collect this afternoon. Off today and tomorrow.
Last week of the month and just a couple of DD's to go out plus it is payday on Friday:T
All in all it has been a very expensive month, but I don't feel that it will have pushed my plans too far back. I think I will be able to catch up with my goals over the course of the year.
Retirement fund: Its a long process and a very small fund right now. I will get there. The increase in auto-enrollment contributions will help grow the pot.
House fund: This has taken quite the battering this month as I have bought a new car. However, the savings I will make on petrol and wear and tear on my motorhome makes it a good decision. I will be able to make up the loss of savings over the year.
Travel fund: £2300 left to save. I will need this money by next summer (July/August) so I shall keep doing my TT's and adding in any extra cashback/bank bonuses/interest and ebaying which should boost the pot over time.
Conclusion: not worried:D
Need to do a stock check today to make sure we have enough of everything to last the month, but it looks like with only a week left that we will be well under budget for groceries:j
More tea and browsing is needed. Have a lovely day xNovember NSD's - 70
