Thanks Cumbria, it means a lot when other people confirm it's ok!!0 -
At least you're saving some money by not going via the expensive London route. Echoing Cumbria - you work hard so enjoy a break now and again. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

So, did the monthly food shop today. We save so much money now that we do the bulk in Aldi although there's certain things they don't have so we end up getting the rest from Tesco.
Hubby is off this coming week so he's said he'll cook tea each evening which is great. I'm working late 3 nights with private clients so it'll be nice to get home and not have to worry about dinner. I will be glad to have time off over Christmas. I'm not going to see anyone in-between Christmas and new year. I am enjoying the private work, but my day job can be so hectic that I often just want to go home. I'll just keep monitoring things. After all, I do have a choice as to how many private clients I see. It's just the extra money is good for taking it off my debts.
My work colleague who I share an office with has got a new job so will be leaving in a couple of months. I'm a bit gutted as it was nice to have company in the office, but I assume they'll recruit someone else at some point. I just hope we get on!0 -
Working long hours can take its toll eventually, not so long now until you can have a longish break. Then not long after that until your break in the countryside.
Good that hubby is off this week and cooking for you, has he got a list of jobs to do , we don't want him thinking he is actually allowed to rest !

Thanks CumbriaI think hubby will be at his mum's tidying her garden one day this week, so he's not totally off the hook lol, but I wouldn't want him spending his week doing odd jobs as he needs downtime as well. It'll just be nice not to have to worry about dinner! We do take it in turns during the week depending on who's home first, but I won't have to worry which is nice.
Once the week away is fully paid in the new year for I'll be aiming to plough as much money from my share of the business off my debt and try to make a real dent in it. I have this opportunity so I don't want to waste it.0 -
Aldi is great - I wish they would deliver as I don't drive, but that would up their prices I should think! So I have to get my monthly big shop at Tesco.
