Hi Cumbria
We had one day where we didn't leave the house at all due to the rain, it was awful! We went out yesterday but later in the evening we noticed the pooch was coughing and trying to clear her throat. Been to the vets this morning and they think it might be kennel cough, although they also mentioned she might be having trouble with her airwaves. She's got some medicine, but it's left me feeling paranoid as we lost kitty at the beginning of the year and I'd hate for there something serious to be wrong. We'll see if this medicine helps
Because of suspected kennel cough we can't take her out, which is a shame, but it's pretty miserable here today so we're happy to stay indoors.0 -

More rain here unfortunately. I guess it's that time of year0 -

Thanks SSG, taking her back to the vets today for a checkup. She seems a bit better, so I guess that's positive.0 -
Hi Lilith - how did it go at the vets yesterday? Hopefully pooch got a clean bill of health.0

Hey Munchin, saw a more experienced vet which was a relief. She felt it was kennel cough and because Cookie already has trachea collapse (common in small dogs and isn't harmful) the virus had made her more prone to coughing without being excited. Vet said her lymph nodes were up which showed infection. She's still contagious so we're keeping her in the avoid other dogs. Vet said cough could go on another month, but no need to bring her back unless it gets worse.
So, hopefully she'll keep getting better. She still sounds rough bless her!0 -
Poor pooch!:(. I hope she's a bit better today. At least she's been diagnosed correctly and receiving the right meds and care. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks SSG. I took her out for a walk tonight as we kept her in yesterday and I think she was getting stir crazy. I managed to avoid other dogs. If we'd come across any I would have picked her up anyway.0
