I love getting my hair done as it doesn't happen very often but it is so relaxing to have someone scrunching my scalp.

The wine & nibbles in the garden sounds lovely. I'm sitting here trying to revise and now I just want to sit in the garden :D

Your sitting in the garden event sounded lovely, the weather has been good here for 3 days as well. Hope the business is moving forward still, the word client would suggest it is.

Not sure when you were off to Stratford upon Avon but have a lovely time. Good to hear you are now not in solitary confinement at work, although it does have its perks sometimes.

Been pretty busy lately. I've been revamping our business website and it looks much better now :)

One more week at work and then we're off the following week. I don't know why we never book our holidays just after pay day because we'd have more money to spend, but perhaps it's a good way to stay frugal. I have the money for the B&B but we'll just have to be careful not to go overboard when eating out.

I'm finding the weekends aren't really enough to help me feel refreshed so this holiday will do me good. I'm probably doing too much, what with the business, but perhaps things will ease off soon. I think I need to stop pushing so hard :o

Well, we had a lovely time in Stratford upon Avon. We went on a boat trip, went to see the grave of Shakespeare and generally just had a walk around. In the evening we went for a meal and a few drinks, which I had budgeted for. It was nice to get away for the day/evening, although I did miss the pooch.

We're off the rest of this week. Not sure what we're going to do. I cleaned the house before we went away and hubby painted the kitchen, which is what he wanted to do this week. So, the rest of the week is ours to do with what we want. Hopefully we'll get out for some walks if the rain can hold off long enough :)
  • Finally caught up with you Lilith! Belated graduation congrats and work all sounding promising and interesting.

Glad to hear you had a enjoyable break. I went to Stratford for a weekend last winter - it's a lovely place to spend some time.

Thanks SSG, we really like it. I'd like to go and see a play there. MacBeth was on, but it was sold out, so we'll have to keep an eye out for future :)
  • The RSC theatre is lovely Lilith. While we were there we saw the RSC production of Robert Harris's Cicero novels that was performed over two nights. Really wonderful and memorable.

    Have a good weekend!
