Thanks Beanielou. The village hall emailed me and said that their treasurer had access to the CCTV files so would check and get back to me. They were very helpful and apologised; not their fault at all.0
-
Well apparently the CCTV is out of action, so looks like I'll be stumping up to pay towards the damage.
Trying not to get wound up about it, but people's lack of honesty just p*sses me off :mad:0 -

Thanks Bluegreen. That's what I'm more annoyed about, not so much the damage. Although the cost is irking me as well! I'll find out more from the insurer tomorrow.0 -
Well, I called my insurance company yesterday to tell them about the damage. They said it would be £250 excess as it's classed as accidental damage. My premium would go up on renewal and I'd lose my no claims - I'm not sure how car insurance actually protects people who aren't at fault?? *sarcasm*
Anyway, I went on ebay and found a bumper for the same car as mine which was at a breaker's yard. I checked the paint code with my car and it was a match, so I bought it - only cost £100. Hubby and I will fit it with the help of youtube tutorialsAt least it means I won't lose my no claims.
Bought another dog seatbelt attachment as the one we have is too short and pooch is almost pinned to the seat. I didn't think that was a nice option for her on the long drive to Cornwall. Luckily I had some Amazon vouchers from surveys so I saved £13 and it only cost me £2.480 -
Sorry to hear about your car , people are very naughty driving off . Getting your own repairs done is sometimes cheaper than the excess and at least you won't have to pay an excess and lose your NCD .
Good old you tube . Anyway hope you have a good weekend apart from this mishap not your fault of course.
Where you going on your hols ? You may have said previously but I don't remember . Not long to go now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
