I'm sorry you've had such a rotten time with your vet. They don't appear to be on the ball. Is it worth looking around for another practice?

Thanks Seaside gal. I have thought of this, yes. We do have another vet not far down the road although they're said to be even more expensive. I think we'll see how we get on with Cookie - if she has to have any treatments I'll be making notes of the costs and requesting invoices just in case we're landed with a huge bill. I can't really fault their care, but they should be getting the basics right like updating their records :/

Sorry to hear the vets record keeping isn't up to much. If things carry on being wrong , vote with your feet.

Thanks Cumbria, yes we'll see what happens.

Had another therapy session on Saturday and it's left me pretty rattled. I know that's to be expected, but I guess I just thought that certain things weren't an issue for me anymore when they clearly are!

Had some spends during our week off but nothing that's going to break the bank. I think I spent about £30 this week, once on going to a cafe for some cake and then buying some nice food in from the supermarket to eat indoors.

Currently looking on ebay for some secondhand t-shirts for our holiday in June as the ones I have are too tight. I've washed those and will take them to the charity shop at some point. I'll see if I can win some bargains! I managed to get another top for work off ebay for £4.49 (including postage). It's from Next so would normally cost about £20 so I feel I did well there :)

Not really looking forward to going back to work tomorrow but it'll help me get back to eating healthy :o

Funny how, when you go back to work after time off it hardly feels like you've been away :o

I've started making the changes to my thesis. There's lots of small, simple changes to make which I'm tackling first. I'll start on the more in-depth changes on Saturday when hubby is at work and I can concentrate. Fingers crossed I can get them all done within the next couple of weeks.

I feel like this month might be a bit tight money wise. I spent more than usual last week during our time off, plus hubby and I are meeting a friend at the weekend for some lunch and I'm meeting a friend later in the month. However, I have to remind myself that treating myself is okay and it's about being sensible rather than being a miser :rotfl:

Hi Lilith, sorry not been on to catch up. Sorry to hear about your troubles with the vets. Here we have PDSA but we also have the vet school they do charge but not as much. Not sure if you have anything like this near you?

I know you said your tshirts were too small but could you sell them or other things to help pay for your new items?
