In terms of limits, there are no guarantees. You may be asked the minimum amount of credit that would be useful to you, in which case you could specify the limit you'd like, but a lender may decline you if they are not prepared to offer it.

Any stated minimum limit is just that. A card stating a higher minimum limit will not necessarily give any given applicant a higher limit than a card stating a lower minimum limit.
