Happy Tuesday
That made me laugh Cherry 😆 He's actually having Mediterranean chicken tonight, which he does like. He won't eat pasta or rice because he bizarrely says it's poor man's food 🙄 I'm assuming he must've got this idea from his parents who came out with some very strange things at times. I just ignore him and let him get on with it.
The dog got me up just before 5am to be let out, I probably should've stayed up but went back to bed. Didn't wake up until 6.30 so haven't had time to go for a walk before work which I know I'll regret at some point. It was nice having a lie in though. I'm so looking forward to the long weekend off, no sticking to timings and just going with the flow. Not that I have to start work at a set time but the later I log on the later I get to log off.
Should be a quiet rest of the week work-wise as people are starting to break up for Easter.
Got a Mr M order coming later this morning. Just looked at my receipt and it's missing my red wine and the cat's food. For goodness sake why didn't they sub the wine and cat food!!!! Oh well, Mr T are doing 25% off 6 bottles of wine so will take my custom elsewhere, might have a wander down at lunchtime. They still haven't sorted out this staff discount either. DD had to fill a form in a few days ago but they haven't taken it off this week's shop. I wish I didn't have to rely on online grocery shopping.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Your Morrisons sounds particularly bad. Does the discount make it worthwhile? I might be tempted elsewhere if key items kept failing to turn up like they do for you.
Mr SA can probably wear something from his summer collection today - its supposed to be a mini heatwave.6 -
I agree it could be worth trying a different supermarket for a while.
We switched to Asda from Tesco when they opened a new mega store just up the road. We are paying much less every couple of weeks for the same items with Asda.4 -
The staff discount is 10% but I haven't been receiving it online just lately thanks to a technical glitch. They won't let you use the discount online for alcohol although you can get use it in store which is bizarre! They used to be brilliant when their orders were fulfilled by Ocado from the warehouse. Now they're coming direct from the stores it's gone downhill. The nearest Mr M store is the best part of an hour's walk each way, not on a bus route, so not somewhere I can just nip to. I've been thinking about getting wine delivered from Aldi as they do some decent ones and free delivery if you spend over £20.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Morning, happy hump day ☺️Payday 👏🥂🥳💃 Have sent £670 to bedroom refurb savings so now have the £3600 needed for part one. Next goal is £680 by the end of April for the painting and skip hire.Today will be NSD 14 of March, needs to be as spent a fair bit yesterday. Ended up going to Mr Ts for the wine and cat food missing from the Mr M order. Also had to pick up some sunglasses for Mr SA as he’d run over his with his scooter. Then I ordered some snacks from WW as they had 50% off and I’m running out. Then I treated myself to some gin from The Dropstore. Can highly recommend this website they do some brilliant bundle offers on spirits, often get mixers and glasses thrown in with the price.
Have been for a run this morning. Had to step over two huge dead rats on the pavement 😱
It’s 8 years ago today that Mr SA came home from work in a right state. He’d had a seizure at work and somehow managed to drive himself home. This was that awful Easter weekend when he kept fitting and sleeping constantly and the beginning of a very long dark journey for him. Those 8 years have flown by and who’d have believed at the time he’d still be here today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Thankfully mr SA is still here thanks to you fighting his corner the 8years might have flown over but it will of been a lot of hard work and worry I would have beat usain bolt if I’d seen that on the pavement terrified boo to the sunglasses and yeah to the gin6

You and Mr SA make a great team. I'm sure he is very thankful for all that you do for him, in his own way of course
I would have been crossing the road to get away from the rats5 -
It must have been so scary for you when he came home after having the seizure. I can’t believe he drove himself afterwards 😲 You have been through a lot in those 8 years - I take my hat off to you and think you deserve every holiday, nice bedroom....and more. 👏January spends - £587.589

It's scary that his work let him drive back.
Eight years is a long time and a big achievement. Milann is right, you deserve good things, both of you. Hopefully you will be on the first flight out to sunny places once it's safe.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
