enthusiasticsaver said:I know of a few people who have long Covid and a mutual friend knew someone in their 30s, no underlying conditions and a marathon runner who died of it. No one knows how they will react to Covid so I definitely don't want it. No vaccine date for us yet either.
We also know a fit and healthy guy in his 40's who died of it yet an elderly member of the same family with multiple health issues managed to fight it off and survive it.
There is no rhyme or reasoning behind it and I would certainly rather I didn't get it.
Speaking to a friend who has had covid and has now had the vaccination, he said that the vaccination made him feel like he had covid again. I guess like the flu jab it can affect people differently.8 -
Delurking to say I’m just coming up to my ‘coronaversary’, and had my first appointment with the newly set-up long covid clinic last week. Luckily I can still work (from home) but that’s pretty much it. I’ve had numerous tests, am currently tracking 22 symptoms, and expect to be referred to cardiology and rheumatology next week. My original infection wasn’t as bad as 2019’s flu.10

That’s awful green bee, such a long time to suffer. I hope it’s not much longer before you start to improve 🤞
I’ve been clearing up after Mr SA since 7.30. He had a bad stomach during the night and left the bathroom in a right state 🤮 I’ve also had to strip the bed 🤢 The washer is now on it’s second load. The house smells like a hippies den as I’ve got incense sticks burning everywhere. His brain damage means he gets the signal he needs the loo too late. He suffers with his stomach quite a bit. I’m not good with this sort of thing, I used to wear rubber gloves to change my kids nappies when they were babies 😆When I light incense it always brings back memories of my mum. When I was about 13 I went through a bit of a heavy rock phase where I wore long skirts and patchouli oil. I also burned incense sticks and waved them around at discos whilst head banging in the mosh pit 😆 My mum wasn’t happy about the incense and was convinced it was only a step away from doing drugs 🤣 That phase didn’t last long, I cleaned up my act and moved on to the Bay City Rollers shortly after 😆
I need to do my finances today, meal plan for the week, walk the dog and steam mop everywhere. I’ve taken one of the beef joints from the meat box out of the freezer for Mr SA’s dinner tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Oh dear. Sorry to hear Mr SA has had a bad night. Hopefully he feels a bit better this morning.
I am useless with cleaning up bodily fluids and functions. 🤮🤢🤮😷4 -
Poor you SA. That sounds awful and I have to say I am not keen on changing my 2 year old granddaughters nappies either especially the stinky ones.
Cleaning up after a grown man must be worse but needs must.

@enthusiasticsaver lol I doubt anyone would say they liked changing nappies , it’s the downside of little grandchildren but lots of nice times is the upside 😀

Sorry about Mr SA's nightly accident 😞. I hope your day improves after a bad start.
Your ninja pizza looked very yummy 🍕. I don't think a ninja would be useful to me as I'm cooking for five adults at the moment, but it looks great for two people. I wonder if you will see a saving on using less electricity by using the ninja rather than your oven? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
