Glad to hear that Mr SA's bloods were fine.
However, I had to smile about the doctor thinking you were Mr SA's daughter. Let's hope that Mr SA doesn't put a face lift on his Pester List!

Happy Friday folks

Had a lovely catch up with work friend yesterday plus lovely lunch with retired work friends today
Quite shocked how dead town was today, bought Easter eggs for the GC from M&S and walked straight up to the till, no queue. Nipped in Debenhams, hardly a soul in there, staff just hanging around, would hate it to have to close
Not heard anything back from round 2 of Mr SA's blood tests yet. He hasn't gone on a pester for Botox or a facelift (yet!) but the pester for all terrain sandals is still alive and kicking
He wants to go in town before holiday to look for some and this will lead to him buying lots of other stuff he doesn't need. Honestly he doesn't need anything at all.
Anyway all that aside, glad it's Friday and just 4 more work get ups to go

Hi SA - glad to hear you've had some enjoyable catch ups with friends.
Yes poor old Debenhams. My friend said the same as you - she told me our local branch was pretty empty when she was in there last week.
 to the continuing all-terrain sandals pester problem!
Have a good Saturday.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

And that's Saturday more or less done.
Lost 1lb at WW, now 3.5lb under goal
Slowly disappearing :rotfl:
DS and the GKs came today. GS was much better behaved, he's starting to come on in leaps and bounds now. GD made me laugh - DD drew her a picture of a clown and she hid it in her bag because her mum hates clowns and she didn't want her to see it, bless her
DD was entertaining both of them which made things a lot easier.
SIL went to Tenerife today with her DS and family. Her DS won the holiday with Walkers Crisps.
Work friend is still in a coma in Spain
7 weeks now
Watching Jonathon Ross show tonight has started Mr SA off on an Amazon Prime pester re Top Gear
Plans for tomorrow - Aldi in the morning, finish cleaning the house, make soup for work lunches, meal plan, finances, order Euros on click and collect and take the dog on the park a couple of times. I know how to live :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
They'll be nothing left of you soon!:rotfl:
That's great that your little DGS is improving. You all must be so pleased. And cute is your DGD hiding her clown drawing. :rotfl: sorry to hear about your friend though
Oh dear to Mr SA and Amazon Prime. He's forgotten about the sandals then?
By the way the Good Housekeeping Best Gin taste test report is in - the overall winner and best dry gin was Gin Mare. Bit dear though at £35! Sainsburys Drury 173 won the best supermarket brand - £20. And Lidl's Hortus Pomegranate and Rose won best flavoured (didn't give the price)

I had a mini bottle of Gin Mare in my gin advent calendar. I think the Lidl gin is around the £15 mark. Personally I still prefer the Gordon's pink gin best of all with Tanquerey Sevilla second. The sandals are top of the pester list and he wants them for his birthday. We'll have to go into town Easter Monday it's the only day I can get, if we pack on the Sunday it will be ok. Got hairdressers Good Friday and nails the following day, I hadn't anticipated Mr SA's last minute shopping, he said he didn't need anything a couple of weeks ago. Should've known better.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

:jHello SA, that's tremendous weight loss!:j And the gin is possibly even better! I have Amazing Primus but not for that programme and I really get a lot from it. That and the one with the flikkynet are the only two I pay for. My DD uses that one the most.
Hope the rest of your weekend goes well and the pestiferousness stops soon!:rotfl:With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Great to hear Friday was a good day with your friends. If you have Amazon Prime don't you get free delivery ! I remember though you removed all card details from your account.
I am sure you can't wait for your holiday , you seem to be very organised with everything. Really pleased that your GS is behaving better , it's amazing how getting the right things in place can help.
Have a good Sunday .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0 -
Happy Sunday

Thanks to the dog and cat I've been up since 6am. Got loads done so far, have put a colour on my hair, done the finances and ordered my euros online to collect tomorrow. Mr SA has given me £20 to change into euros "just in case he sees something", I've emptied my holiday handbag fund jar and have £60 to change, we've got about €80 left over from the last trip to Lanzarote, so all good there.
Budget pots all ok at the end of week 1. Doing an Aldi shop this morning - I always say I don't want much then end up spending more than I planned.
VSP £201.59 - ideally I'd like this to be at £250 by the end of the 4 week budget period
Debt £0 :j
Emergency fund £3260 - more to be added on payday. First target is get it back to the £4000 it was last year before the vet bill and freezer.
I've thought of a few changes I'm making:
1. Work at home one day at least once a fortnight.
2. Finish work no later than 3pm on Fridays.
3. Once a month have a Monday where I start work later and go and have a coffee first - I used to do this regularly and it seems to have fallen by the wayside.
4. Try and spend as little as possible for the first 3 weeks of the budget period and on the weekend before the new budget starts have a treat weekend where Mr SA gets his going into town fix - coffee, lunch out and whatever is top of his pester list that month.
5. I will have a secret shopping day once a month, around payday. I'm going to try and not buy things I need until then unless desperate. I can make a nice day of it, have coffee, potter round the shops, pick up the things I need - separate from the Mr SA shopping day.
Next on today's list is do the meal plan right up until we go on holiday.
Have a good one folks :beer:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
